Quote:This is the first time I am using a gamepad so it is entirely possible that I have missed a crucial step in setting it up. I am currently on Windows 7, Intel i5 3.40 ghz processor, Nvidia GTX 660 graphics card, and Dolphin 3.5. I am attempting to use the Mayflash gamepad (which I know is rumored to be trash but I didn't look it up before I purchased it because it was only $10 or so).
When I plugged my gamepad in, my computer said the drivers were installed and when I go into devices and printers > USB Gamepad > Game controller settings > Properties, it detects all button and stick presses. However when I go into Dolphin itself, I can't seem to get it to connect to the emulator. I set config > Gamecube > Port 1 to Standard Controller and I have attempted to get test the controller with every option available when I go to GCPad > Device to no avail. These include DInput/0/USB Gamepad, DInput/1/USB Gamepad, SDL/0/USB Gamepad, and SDL/1/USB Gamepad
EDIT: I figured out that I just had to manually map the buttons while I was on the GCPad tab. However, I have a new problem now. I believe on the GCPad tab under LAnalog and RAnalog, I should have Axis _ +- however for me it only shows +. In Super Smash Brothers Melee, when I try to reset my fight by hitting L+R+A+Start, the game will not reset even though all buttons function properly otherwise.
EDIT2: Okay so apparently now my controller works completely fine and the reset works as well. I guess I posted this a little in panic so please close the thread if no one else will get any use out of it
