Multiple Button Combos not working

Hey i am having some issues with using multiple buttons together in games. Currently in Zelda Wind Waker my problem occurs when i target something and then i can not also use my shield to block while targetting. Also in Metroid prime i can not free look with my scan visor and scan at the same time. Is there anyone who has working configurations for a 360 pad that may solve this issue? i use a madcatz 360 game pad.
