No games saved

Hi

I have youtubed this question as well , and nothing here works for me to save a game and to be able to find it and load it again at another time

Ie Resident evil , or super mario sunshine , most games say they are saving , but i can never find or load them

Does this function vary with each game ?

Please advise me further
