Hi,
I've been using Dolphin for a while now, and decided to use a old backup I had of my Wii's nand. Because I started over on Dolphin, I went and built a new fresh nand dump using the old backup with various programs, and extracted what I needed from my old one. I wanted to start over completely with everything as stock and fully updated. It seems to have gone smoothly and checks out fine with the "nand bin checker" program. I presume creating a nand dump this way is no issue to use on Dolphin?
First thing I noticed was issues with the Wii Network. It was working flawlessly before, but now on most network enabled games I was receiving the error 20115 or 20109 instantly. The only difference I could tell between my previous setup and now using my nand, was that previously there was a file called "DWC_AUTHDATA" in the Wii/shared2 folder. Adding that back in appears to have restored online functionality.
Questions:
1) What's stored in this "DWC_AUTHDATA" file? A online search appears to suggest it's a serial number. Is this needed for online then, and if so, should I have had/extracted one when creating my nand backup, or is Dolphin supposed to create one (I guess it does at some point as I had one to begin with?).
2) Is there anyway to accept the User Agreements within the system menu? It would be nice to browse the Wii store in some of my games (not even sure if you can?), but the prompt to accept the User Agreements pops up when trying to access these services. Clicking yes to accept them in the Wii system menu throws up a black screen, so is there anyway around this? I'm guessing this flag is stored somewhere in sysconf?
3) Is there any benefit to having all 3/6 certificates for the Wii Network extracted from my nand, as opposed to the 3 certificates obtained as advised in the guide?
Any help answering these questions would be very much appreciated. My knowledge is fairly limited when it comes to things like this!
Thanks.
