Sound slowdown on new Dolphin version

Before, I used Dolpin 3.0-377-dirty. I now use Dolphin 4.0.2.

The sound seems to have a slowdown in at least 4.0.2. I'll take Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Transer as an example as I was able to find a good point of reference there: when scrolling through the menu in 3.0-377, you instantly hear the sound effect for doing so. In 4.0.2, however, this sound effect is delayed until about when moving to the next menu option has been completed already.

It's just a matter of milliseconds (I thought I was just going crazy, as the difference was so small I couldn't find a good point of reference for solid evidence of sound slowdown for a good while), but it's enough to throw me off (it pretty much feels exactly as if there's a delay in pressing buttons, throwing off my entire timing). Unfortunately, the old version had a bigger problem (the sound eventually turning into a crackling mess. And plenty of other versions of back around then caused crashes and such, hence I still used it for so long), so instead of just changing back, I'll have to ask:

Is there any setting(s) or anything to fix this? LLE didn't fix, different sound backend didn't fix, changing to DirectX 9 (standard: DirectX 11) in the graphics configuration didn't fix (p.s. is it supposed to say "sound backend" in the graphics configuration? It's in the Dutch translation ("Geluids backend")). Anything? Note: games run at the full 60 FPS, so it's not due to FPS dropping or anything (no V-Sync, and Frame Limiter is set at Auto).
