Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes PS3 Button Config

Here's a button configuration for Twin Snakes meant for use with a Playstation 3 controller emulating an Xbox 360 controller or just an Xbox 360 Controller. Buttons are remapped in accordance to how the PS2/3 versions of MGS2 are mapped. Here are some features:

+ Pressing Select accesses the Codec. You no longer have to press a combination like the default Twin Snakes.
+ Almost the same control scheme as MGS2, which is surprisingly challenging due to the odd control decisions made by the developers
+ A significant improvement over playing with the original Gamecube controller on an actual console.

Here are some things to note that are different from MGS2's controls:

- Peeking around corners had to be modified. Now you hold L1 while holding left or right on the Left Analog Stick to peek around corners (Normally just holding L2 or R2 does this). This is because of mapping issues, but this compromise works really well and feels natural.
- You have to press Square to accept in menus (Normally Circle for PS2, X for HD Editions). This is because the Gamecube's A button is tied to gun firing in the original, and there is no other way around it. Blame Silicon Knights. This is the biggest flaw, but the ends justify the means in this case.

One last thing: Twin Snakes is not Dolphin's most compatible game, so keep that in mind. However, this Button Config is currently the most natural one available for players most familiar with the PS2 MGS games, and offers the ability to play the oddity that is Twin Snakes in the most traditional way possible. I hope you enjoy and have fun!
