DolphinBar Issue - Wii remote won't properly disconnect/reconnect

Hello.

I've been having a few problems with the Mayflash Dolphinbar. It syncs properly, it works fine in-game, and if it's on when Dolphin or a game starts it'll connect, vibrate to confirm and work almost flawlessly.

Unfortunately my problem seems to start when it's the Wii remote is disconnected, either by powering it off or being disconnected in-game.

If I turn off the Wii remote or if it loses connection, Dolphin doesn't realise it's been disconnected and throw up an on-screen message as it probably should. When the remote is turned on again it connects to the DolphinBar and lights up as player 1, but doesn't vibrate and isn't recognised in Dolphin and none of the buttons do anything. Clicking refresh doesn't work, and leaving continuous scanning on or off makes no difference.

The only solution I've found is to manually disconnect and reconnect using Alt-F5.

Pressing Alt-F5 is pretty awkward though, because I intend to stream Dolphin across the house from my PC using Moonlight and VirtualHere (Both of which work without a problem thankfully) and the keyboard will be in another room... But I know for a fact neither of those is causing the issue because I plugged the DolphinBar directly into my PC and the exact same thing happens every time.

Here's what I've been doing to cause the problem (It's not hard for me to replicate, because it happens every time without fail):
I start Dolphin with the Wii remote on and it vibrates.
I start up a game and it vibrates.
I press the Wii menu button to pause (Just to see if the icon changes, it's not necessary for this to happen) and then hold the power button to shut the Wiimote off.
I don't get a disconnect message on-screen, or any new messages in the log, and the icon on the pause menu remains white instead of greying out as if the remote is still connected.
I turn the remote on again and it lights up as player one and the DolphinBar lights up on the left, but the remote doesn't vibrate and no new messages appear on-screen or in the log.
Pressing refresh in control settings does nothing at this point.
The only thing that works is pressing Alt-F5 to disconnect it, then pressing Alt-F5 again to reconnect and then it will vibrate and work normally.
Pressing buttons on the controller after the first Alt-F5 also does nothing, and refresh still doesn't do anything either.

Here's also a few things I've tried so far:
Deleting the device in Windows, unplugging it and plugging it back in.
Added portable.txt to my Dolphin installation directory to generate new configs.
Checked the DolphinBar firmware is updated to the latest version
Checked Dolphin is updated.
Switched USB ports from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 both on case and motherboard.
Turned off antivirus temporarily and closed unnecessary programs in background.

Some additional info:
I'm running Dolphin 5.0-9896 and had the same problem with 5.0-9888 too before updating.
The DolphinBar's firmware is fully updated.
The Wiimote model I'm using is RVL-003.
I'm using Windows 10 Home 1809 (Build 17763.379) (I don't have a second PC to test with though)

I also saved two logs as text files which I'll attach to the post. One with only IOS-USB, IOS-Wii Remote and Wiimote enabled, and the other with everything enabled. Both times I start Wii Sports, power off the Wiimote at the menu, press a few buttons after it's "connected" as player 1 and then press Alt-F5 twice to reconnect before closing the game. I can't see any errors but as I said previously, nothing seems to happen at all until I hit Alt-F5.

I've played using the DolphinBar and Wiimote in the past but don't remember noticing this problem before, so whether it's a new problem or old I have no clue. I'll check out some earlier versions of Dolphin later and come back with an update but I haven't had the chance just yet.

I've looked around and found a few older threads about various connection problems with the DolphinBar, but I've found no way to actually fix the problem. It doesn't seem like a problem with the DolphinBar since the controller syncs and reconnects just fine, and will connect fine as long as the remote is on when Dolphin starts. I think it's probably related to either Windows or Dolphin, but I could still be wrong.

I'm a little lost at this point and would appreciate any help or suggestions you guys can give me. Thanks. Smile

5.0-9638-x64 causing issues

I am having an issue with Dolphin builds past 5.0-9638-x64 (The big one that the recent blog post praises).

Whenever I try to start any game while using the Direct3D 11 backend, it fails to start.  I also see these messages appear in the log, which seem to be important:

Code:
videocommon\postprocessing.cpp:62 E[Video]: Post-processing shader not found: C:\Program Files\Dolphin-x64/Sys/Shaders/(off).glsl
common\msghandler.cpp:92 E[MASTER]: Warning: Failed to create 1024x1024x1 D3D backing texture
common\msghandler.cpp:92 E[MASTER]: Warning: Failed to create utility textures.
common\msghandler.cpp:92 E[MASTER]: Warning: Fifo shutting down while active
videobackends\d3d\d3dbase.cpp:190 N[Video]: Successfully released all device references!
common\msghandler.cpp:92 E[MASTER]: Warning: Failed to initialize video backend!

Unfortunately for me, Direct3D 11 is my only option.  OpenGL tanks because my drivers do not support "ARB_buffer_storage" (and I do not believe I can update to receive this feature).  Direct3D 12 and Vulkan are not options on my older hardware, afaik.  Software rendering is a meme.

Interestingly, OpenGL does work past 5.0-9638-x64 for me.

I am new to these forums, so I am unfamiliar with how to display my computer specs from my profile on this post.  Will I be forced to stick with 5.0-9633-x64 forever?  Thanks.

Picto Box Crashes Wind Waker and Pull Stars not working om Mario Galaxy

Hi,

I have a samsung S9 and updated my android version of Dolphin to 5.0-9795 and noticed a gameplay critical issue with my wind waker game.

Whenever I use my picto-box item, it crashes my game. The shutter of the pictobox closes, the game lags, and then the app closes itself.

I also have another gameplay critical issue with Super mario galaxy. I can use the IR pointer fine, but it wont let me grab pull stars! I cannot enter a level without them!

Is anyone else having these issues? How can I fix them? Where can I find the crash logs for wind waker?

Also, when can I expect cheats to become avaliable on android? Can somebody add this to the next version? I love gecko and AR codes!

Thanks for the help!

Concerning synchronous ubershaders

Guys, would an Nvidia gtx 1050 with a core i5 4790 cpu allow me to power through games using synchronous ubershaders without any stutter at all?  I know nvidia had a bug with ubershaders and certain backends that caused stuttering.  The forums say synchronous ubershaders can fix nvidia cards on the other backends that normally cause stuttering otherwise.  I would just be playing games like metroid prime 3 at native resolution with no enhancements.  What gpu would you recommend?

Loading WADs from Wii Menu (SD Card)

I imported my Wii NAND into Dolphin, and also the SD card but the card WADs can't be opened, it says "this channel couldn't be activated in this Wii", NAND channels seem to work no issues except for the HomeBrew channel which just renders to a black screen and freezes.

Is there something am I missing? Do I have to configure the online settings? I read in a thread that you should have a copy of your WAD also in Dolphin in order to launch it, but I'm not sure why or how to do that.

Thanks for the help.

Performance benchmarks before/after the Great VideoCommon Rewrite

I initially wanted to post all benchmarks simultaneously, but I haven't had time to run them all yet, so I'll just add to this post as I get results.  I am testing a set of scenarios that are hard to emulate (well, relatively speaking), with a version just before the VideoCommon rewrite, and a very recent one after most of the changes have been merged.

The purpose is simply for fun and to share information, in case it helps in any way to identify potential .

New2in1 Wiimote disconnects after random time

$

Okay guys, so my problem is nothing new but it's still annoying.
So I use a Chinese "New2in1" Wiimote with my laptop which is my main PC. Intel's Bluetooth (Wireless-N 2230) is not good so I bought CSR8510A10 USB dongle, but not directly from CSR, it's branded as "Trust", PC accessories trademark. Windows 10 pairs with it only with "Add a device" dialog window, "Add Bluetooth device" requires a PIN and not letting the pairing occur otherwise.
Dolphin picks up the Wiimote, but after a random time of playing (may be a minute, may be 5 or 10) the connecton just vanishes.
It looks like it's the OS because Wiimote appears to be thinking it's still connected (first light keeps glowing solid blue). The character movement in games continues as well and Dolphin does not report any disconnects.
I've tried another stacks. Toshiba Bluetooth had the same problem and eventually stopped detecting the dongle. CSR Harmony stack required a PIN to connect.
Dolphin's passtrough works like a charm but I cannot keep it for long.
So who is really to blame and what can be done?

FPS Inconsistencies

I am having very inconsistent fps with my LG V35 (Snapdragon 845, 6gb RAM). I am running SSX3 perfectly near 60 fps but it seems like this is the only game I get these results for, Madden 07, NFS Underground 2, Windwaker and Super Mario Sunshine are all around 15-30 fps consistently. Are there any workarounds or anything I can do.

Resident evil dosent work at 16:9

There is an issue with the videos on resident evil 0, "sync on skip idle" fixes it but the official build doesn't have this option (tested on MMJ) , adding it to the ini doesn't seem to work., also not sure if there is something wrong with the sound, becas voice sounds so weird to me when she pronounces the S, the trains noise aswell, the sound is the same on GC version, the videos are OK on this one.
(I've tested with earphones to make sure wasn't my speakers)

I don't know if it's fine keep reporting this way or should I use another one.

So I was playing twilight princess when the frames just dropped from 30 to 20 and I've tried going through the settings myself and trying to fix it but I can't seem to get it right nothing I do works I changed the settings as low as possible and it dose't change it at all. My computer is pretty good so I'm just wondering if there is a setting to make it easier on my computer. I have a:

i9 x-series 10 core
gtx 2080
32 gbs of ddr4 ram

this is my first time ever posting to a forum so just tell me if i missed anything and I'll try and give it to you.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 vs S5e

$

(I can't actually find anywhere that states the S4 is actually 64-bit OS, let alone the S5e. I've just seen tests of the snapdragon 835/710. Also, I prefer tablets over phones and these two tablets seem to be the most capable.) My questions stem from seeing the 835 and 710/660 in action(which is to said to be comparable to what the 670 will be able to do apparently). I know these are kind of loaded questions because the S5e isn't out yet, but I feel there might be enough information out and about for someone smarter than I to have a valid answer as to which could technically play GC and Wii games better/faster.

Would it be worth getting the S5e over the S4 because of it having the Adreno 600 series vs the 540? Like could/would that be a difference maker? Also would the Kyro/Arm make up at least some of the difference; it being newer in the S5e? Also since the S5e would be newer I wonder if updates would be more worthwhile in the long run.
