Dolphin Bar not working with Development versions of Dolphin ?

I'm running Dolphin version 5.0-10841 on my Windows 10 PC.

I've just taken delivery of a Mayflash Dolphin Bar.

The firmware is on the latest version V.09

The Dolphin Bar is set to mode 4

My Wii Remote is a Nintendo original with an attached Motion Plus

I press the Sync button on the Dolphin Bar then press the red Sync button under the battery compartment cover - all four blue LEDs on the Wii Remote flash for a while then the first one goes blue and steady - the blue Sync LED on the Dolphin Bar continues to flash for a few more seconds then goes steady.

In Dolphin I go into controllers - under Wii Remotes I have checked:

Emulate the Wii's Bluetooth adapter and Wii Remote 1 is set to Real Wii Remote

I also tried checking Continuous Scanning but on pressing Refresh I don't get any vibration from the Wii Remote.

If I load up a game no buttons are recognized.

I also tried selecting the Controllers option Passthrough a Bluetooth adapter

but in-game  it states than no usable Bluetooth USB was found

Where am I going wrong?

Edit: I've now managed to get the Wii Remote working with the Dolphin Bar by using Stable Version 5.0 of Dolphin from three years ago.

Surely there's a way to get it working with one of the more Development versions? How do I do this?

Hello everyone, scuse my english, not a native speaker.

Anyway, I've a small problem. Each time I try to use a Gecko code, my game simply freezes, OR I can't use the action button (The A button), can't open doors, can't do anything. The game works without the codes, 'but' a person wants to have infinite stamina sometimes, you know?

The same is with Action codes.

I did enable cheats everywhere I could, checked everything I could. I'm using the newest version of Dolphin, but it didn't work before either. I am at the end of my rope, because Gecko codes work for my other games, just not for the Harvest moon games.

Another deal is, the game freezes when I use the codes... like, full blown freeze. FPS jumps up and down, but the game's properly frozen.

I just don't know what to do anymore...

Gamecube Controller Half-Detected on Linux

What I mean by “half-detected” is that Dolphin does detect the controller before I start a game (the controller configuration board says “controller detected” and I can turn on/off rumble and DK-Bongos) but in-game it does not work and after quitting the game it is not recognized anymore in the configuration board. If I close and re-open Dolphin, it is detected again (but still won’t work in-game).

I have a Wii-U adapter (though it does not seem to be from Nitendo) which has on its back a switch PC — NS/Wii U. I have put the switch on Wii U.

I’m using Dolphin 5.0-7309, Linux 5.2.9 and I did set the following rules with udev :

Code Problems

Major stutters (single digit FPS) in some games

Hey Guys,

New to the forum. I've read through many threads about stuttering and the article about how async ubershaders fixed the problem. I still could not find a solution to some of the games, namely smash bro brawl and donkey kong country returns. Most of the games works decently well running at 60fps mostly with random drops to about high 40s which is not really detectable during gameplay

For SSBB, the frame rate dips to single digit, sometimes 1fps especially at the start of a solo match. The waterfall stage where the player have to keep jumping also encounters a freeze for about 1-2 second when "speed up" of the stage occurs. For DKCR, sometimes there will also be freezes for 2 second.

My machine specs:

AMD ryzen 1700 @ 3.8ghz
nvidia 1660ti
32GB's of GSkill RAM

I have left settings at default except changing the IR to 1440p which is my native monitor res. I have also turned on SSAA 2x, 16x AF. I have also tried 2x MSAA and still encounter the exact same 1-2 second freezes. Also tried turning off dual core with same results. I am using the latest build.

Is there anything else I can try or is my CPU bottlenecking?

Logitech USB microphone: The entered VID is invalid

Hello!

I'm trying the to install the rockband 1 usb microphone, but it's giving me an error whenever I try to add it to the USB passthrough:

What ive tried to do is the following:

I first tried to install it using the single interface steps => Gave me the error

Then uninstalled all the drivers, installed it using the multi interface steps => gave me the error

Then again uninstalled all the drivers, installed it using first the single step, then the multistep => Gave me the error.

Dolphin also sometimes gives me another error randomly:
Quote:failed to initialize libusb: libusb_error_other dolphin
Which is probably related.

I'm running this on Windows 10, using dolphin 5.0 10879

EDIT:
It does work on 5.0 -10617

Can't use Gamecube controller adapter.

I'm trying to get my Gamecube controller to work with Dolphin and it doesn't work.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 FPS issues

Hi there! New to Dolphin but desperate to play some old Wii games on my PC (Specs on my profile). My PC is well above capable of 4K emulation and proven via playing other games at 4K yet Super Mario Galaxy 2 just dumps to 24 FPS at the loading screen after Mario has come in, please help!

My Gamecube controller and adapter once worked for dolphin, but now they don't. It is not responding to any game even after a reset. I have both if one of them is an issue. Thanks!

Question about dolphin-emu version

Hello,
I installed and use dolphin-emu the last days, and I have a question.
I installed it through arch linux repository. The version is "Dolphin [makepkg] 5.0-7309". Because I had some minor issues I decided to try a newer version.
I've searched in aur but the git version(which was newer) had to updated 1 year. So I tried to download and build it from github.
I cloned the master repo and I built it as portable application. I successfully run it but I found that the version is 5.0.
So I don't know If I have the latest version which seems to be 5.0-10881(from downloads section).
Am I built an older version? I downloaded from here:
https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin
using "clone or download" button.

I'm new on this forum ( and in the emulation world too but I learning fast Smile )
I'm also french so sorry for my bad english sometimes

I'm here to ask you about a little problem I encounter recently
I play Zelda wind waker , and the camera sensitivity is far too high
if I press the C stick just a little it's alright but if I push it a little to much the camera go at full speed and make a full tour in less than a second

first I had a problem with the axe of the camera , but I found a AR code which invert the axe

so my question is : is there a AR code or any other way to decrease the sensitivity of the C stick

I play with a original gamecube controller and a mayflash adapter with Zadig to change the drivers , so I can't change the sensitivity in the controller settings ..

Getting an error when i close Dolphin emulator...

Hi guys!


After i've been trying SEVERAL different Dolphin emulator version, i finally found one, that works great and doesn't stutter or lag at all when playing games... Even the latest version was really slow, so i had to get an older version.

Anyway whenever i close down Dolphin Emulator when i'm for instance playing Mario kart Double Dash, i always get an error called "wxWidgets Debug Alert"...
Do you guys know why this happens? And is there a way to disable this?

At the bottom of the error, it says: "You can also choose [Cancel] to suppress further warnings". I have done that, but i still get the error...

Joystick controller problem on Dolphin Android

Hello,

The previous week I've made a controller box,
which has a Ultimarc Ultrastik360 and 2 buttons.

So today I thought, why not give it a go with the Android version of Dolphin ?

So I hooked it up with the usb-c OTG adapter to my Samsun Galaxy S10.
So far so good, it seems like it's working in the Android menu's and the button launches a program.

So I was feeling confident.

I've opened Dolphin, went inside the Wii controlls and choose "emulated",
which took me to the screen where I could map the buttons and d-pad.

I only have 2 buttons (for the moment), so I've set them as button A and button B.
Whenever I press the buttons, they get recognized as the Ultimarc360 joystick
and one button is called "Ultimarc360 joystick 188"
and the other button is "Ultimarc360 joystick 189"

The d-pad gets recognized as well, no problems whatsoever.

So you would think that I could play the game, right.

So I fired up a game, but the buttons don't do anything.

I went back and set the 2 buttons as button "1" and "2",
to see if that would change anything, but it didn't.

What am I doing wrong ?

Small form factor PC for Dolphin? (And other emulators?)

First, this is a wonderful community. I appreciate how much more documentation there is for Dolphin than any other emulator.

Now, for my question. I am looking for a small form factor PC for my living room. I would use it as an emulation machine, mostly. I would like to do emulation up to Wii as faithfully as possible. I would like to play Skyward Sword, for example, and I am wondering if its unique controls will pose a problem.

Can anyone recommend a ready-to-go PC? Size isn't particularly important, either, but a smaller form factor would be nice.

Also, despite preceding the Wii by two whole generations, I hear the N64 is particularly difficult to accurately emulate. AngryLion, supposedly the best N64 plugin out there, struggles with i7 Intel processors. That's incredible! So emulating the N64 might be more difficult than emulating the Wii!

So anyone have any advice on how best to get what I am looking for?

OK......so im having issues running Super Smash Bros Brawl on dolphin 5.0. I submitted my pc specs when I registered, so im assuming itll show up underneath, so if you can see it, why am I experiencing so much lag? Ive ran wii u emulators on an old 8350 with an rx480 and it ran buttery, maybe its because it dolphin uses cpu's differently?, but im at a total loss. Its sad, I bought a gamecube plugin adapter, actually found an official gamecube controller and just bought it, flew home, plugged it up and got the WAH WAH noise. Super sad face...… Ive tried opengl, vulkan, a-z, im not sure what to do at this point. It is playable don't get me wrong, but its not like the console version, and from playing the wii u version and it was amazing, I was disappointed, I wanted to bring out project m and netplay as well.

Got bored of a gamepad, want to use a keyboard and mouse. I go to controller configuration and have it set as as standard gamecube like you should. I need to select a keyboard right? Only thing there is the "quartz" keyboard and everytime I try to map a key it wont read. Been looking for a solution all day to no avail. Tried different versions, nope. Specs in my bio. And I'm updated to latest version of dolphin rn.

Hello,
i really missing one thing that is compatibility filtering for all game base depents on State - Perfect / Playble etc.

I would like to list all playble or un unplayble games on 1 page.. to check what next i can play, when will come day to finally disconnect old consoles or its worthy to fix them, transfer them to cottage etc. This filter make sense for me, so pleas dont tell that i dont need it, click through the list its annoying. If its hard to implement on web something like compatibility list in text or csv file would be fine too.

SBS stereoscopic 3d on Android build

I'm using a Pixel2 XL (Snapdragon 835/Adreno 540,) but stereoscopic mode only seems to show the left image.

I'm using the OpenGL backend, and have tried with various combinations of EFB settings on Dolphin's end, and a variety of 5.x versions with no luck. Since I haven't seen much about this feature in conjunction with Android (probably for obvious performance issues,) I was unsure if this was a regression or just my bad luck/Adreno driver issues.
