Can any one get speaker data to work with Real Wii remotes via dolphin bar or at least have the sound come out elsewhere so it doesn't sound like static? Several games use it.

PS:before anyone suggest's it bluetooth passthrough doesn't work for me.

Under $500 sff build for 4K tv?

I currently have a desktop I've used for Dolphin, but I'm moving and ordered a nice 65 inch 4K tv for the living room. I'd like to play Dolphin on that, as well as conveniently have a computer right next to the tv to play my media. My question is, is there a build close to under $500 that is in a small form factor that could play Dolphin in 4K (Wii and GC games) with mostly 100% speed? My main desktop will be at my desk, so my only other options would be a steam link (limited to 1080p though) or a really long hdmi cord (ugly unless I could hide it somehow).

Dolphin throw "d3d don't can be initialized" error.

Bluetooth Passthrough on Windows 10

*Of course I restart my pc after posting this and now I have "DESKTOP-O198IAJ" listed under where it says Bluetooth on in Bluetooth & other devices in Windows. When I add bluetooth and press the red button on the wii mote as iit scans I get Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 and when I connect there is no response.*

I have experience soldering electronics and have never had an issue with my soldering work. I have installed Zadig libusbK and when I plug my homemade bluetooth into the USB I have no indication that there is any new hardware. I have checked device manager and there is nothing except my mouse listed under libusbK. I originally used the BT chip from my Wii console, and when that didnt work I bought two BT chips from the link below for parts. All parts I ordered were through that link as well prior to ordering the BT chips. Is there something I am missing on the software side, is my hardware too old, or is the only possibility is that a part I ordered is not functioning properly? I appreciate any help.

Upon starting a game in dolphin, black screen crash

*Update: I tried NVIDIA driver 418.91 from Feb 13th, 2019 and that changed nothing so the problem persists. May last driver may have been a few months older than that, but I am uncertain.
Perhaps the issue is something with Windows, or a Vcreditst I am missing, although I have the one listed in the downloads section. Ive tried OpenGL, Vulkan, D3D11 with all having the same issue where when I start the game a black window pops up for 2 seconds and disappears.*

I think that there is an incompatibility with the latest NVIDIA driver as that is all I can recall having changed on my PC since the last time I used dolphin about 3 or 4 months ago, I also restored the NVIDIA control panel to default setting in case their new sharpening tool created an issue without any success in starting a game in Dolphin. However, the latest stable version 5.0 still works. I tried an in-between version 10945 and the problem persists, I have not tested any earlier except stable 5.0. I suppose I will try an earlier NVIDIA driver to see if anything changes.

*Update 2: Using the stable 5.0 build, I ran some wii games and any wii game I play using an xbox 360 controller will have yelllow text pop up when I press any button on the controller that says "Wiimote 1 Connected" immediately following a millisecond later by "Wiimote 1 disconnected by emulated software"  Perhaps this is an underlying reason why the earller versions were not working?  I have plugged the controller into different USB ports with same results, and I have used the controller in PC games without any problems at all. I also tried using my mouse as a controller with the same results. Unless someone has any idea on how this problem might be solved, I will probably try a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro in a week or two.*

Drop In Speed (Wii Party)

Hey guys,
So I was playing Wii Party for a bit of fun and it runs at a steady 60fps most of the time. However after any minigame finishes, the FPS drops to 45fps when using Vulkan, and 35fps when using Direct3D 12, and 50fps on Direct3D 11, which doesn't seem that bad, but they all cause the same horrific micro-stuttering. I've searched far and wide and no one else has this issue and I'm geniunely just a bit stuck. I don't know whether it's performance based or what but the rest of the game runs completely fine.
I'm playing the NTSC version of the game and I'm using an actual wii remote if that makes any difference
If anyone knows how to fix it plese lmk

Dolphin Crashes after 30-60 mins while on Netplay

Yesterday I played on Netplay for over an hour with 3 of my friends and had no issues. Today I used Netplay with my friends for around 30-35~ minutes before the game freezes and says "Dolphin.exe has stopped working." I start it up again then it crashes 3 minutes in and just constantly crashes. This is not the first time this has happened and I am the only one in my friend group who has this issue. I have not crashed playing offline, only on netplay so far. I thought it was a controller thing because I was using a X-Box controller, but now I swapped to a GameCube Controller + Adapter and it still crashes.

*Update 3: I decided to take a more in-depth look at what was going on and managed to find the log.  Apparently dolphin has the bluetooth passthrough enabled by default and I must have changed it in the past but was trying to get in-game to test it out.  Anyways, it does a black screen crash if you do not have bluetooth passthrough setup according to the log window, and after I changed this to a controller it works fine.*

*Update 2: Using the stable 5.0 build, I ran some wii games and any wii game I play using an xbox 360 controller will have yelllow text pop up when I press any button on the controller that says "Wiimote 1 Connected" immediately following a millisecond later by "Wiimote 1 disconnected by emulated software"  Perhaps this is an underlying reason why the latest versions were not working?  Actuallly no, I found other posts where the solution that worked was to use a development build which has the black screen crash.

How to start a game with bluetooth passthrough

My wiimote is recognized in Windows 10 Pro x64 version 1903 in add a device as Nintentdo RVL-CNT-01, but asks for a PIN which I have read is not the way to do this. But instead I should have the controller options in the Dolphin controller section set to "Passthrough a Bluetooth adapter" but the sync and reset buttons state the game must be started before pressing those will do anything. I have tried to start several games even with the wiimote red button pressed and holding 1+2 but every time I get a black screen for one second and it crashes with the following listed in the log:
52:31:837 common\msghandler.cpp:115 E[MASTER]: Question: Failed to open Bluetooth device: LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED
52:31:837 core\ios\usb\bluetooth\btreal.cpp:91 E[IOS_WIIMOTE]: Failed to get config descriptor for device 8086:3b3c

52:31:837 common\msghandler.cpp:115 E[MASTER]: Question: Bluetooth passthrough mode is enabled, but no usable Bluetooth USB device was found. Aborting.

I can start the games with the controller settings set to an emulated controller, but cannot switch to bluetooth passthrough after the game has started so that does not work either.

*Update:  It seems I installed zadig for lilbusbK incorrectly, probably too early.  Did it over again and success!

*Update: I posted my current issue over in the controller section of the forum where I have established my controller is recognized in Win 10 to the point of requesting a PIN, but I am unable to get it working in Dolphin following a guide that states I should sync it in-game but I cannot start a game due to a black screen crash with error messages in the log, but using any other option in the controller section of dolphin allows games to boot fine, but cannot switch to bluetooth passthrough after the game has started with another option selected.

Of course I restart my pc after posting this and now I have "DESKTOP-O198IAJ" listed under where it says Bluetooth on in Bluetooth & other devices in Windows.  When I add bluetooth and press the red button on the wii mote as iit scans I get Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 and when I connect there is no response.  Cannot test in dolphin as I am having an issue that I posted in another thread, so the bluetooth passthrough may be working fine, but I cannot test it in dolphin yet.*

Skyward Sword: cannot start game, serious graphic issue

$

To be honest I no longer have a rig on my own since 5 years ago; it broke beyond reparing. Still saving for a new one. When it broke I was allowed to use the old general use desktop one at home. Notice: *already old* back then.
It gives pity: E7500 2.93 GHz, 4 GB RAM DDR2, Nvidia GeForce GT 220
But it was all I could get (and not even mine), and *still* ran quite some PC games and some few Wii games on Dolphin. Not full speed, but enjoyable.

Back then I tried SS with one of those unofficial Dolphin 3.0 builds with Wii Motion Plus emulation back then. Sorting out controls and setting graphics to DirectX11 backend were the way to go. From the very few I played it seemed to run well enough.
But due to some ugly personal big issues I wasn't able to continue playing. Then, later, I didn't come back.

Now 5 years later I read Dolphin finally has official Wii Motion Plus support. So there I go updating Nvidia drivers (current version 342.01), and download Dolphin rev 11077. Default backend seems to be OpenGL, but due to this GPU it runs horribly slow. So switched to DirectX11 and started game. It starts, but when about to enter the save game menú it crashed and I get error:

"Map failed in C:\buildbot\release-win-x64\build\source\core\videobackends\d3d\dxtexture.cpp at line 295: Map readback texture"

After this, emulation still runs but white screen and no sound.

I already tried tweaking a lot with Graphics settings, mainly in Hacks. I even tried getting past the point with OpenGL somewhere ingame and then making a savestate. But issue is never solved. As son as savestate is loaded same issue.

Using Windows 10 Pro 1903.

Any help with this, please?
Five years ago even official Dolphin 3.0 back then didn't have this issue with DirectX. Maybe Dolphin evolved, emulation got more accurate and thus broke compatibility with old devices?

Can't move cursor across the entire screen on 5.0-11103

When playing Metroid Prime Trilogy on version 5.0-11103 x64, the center of screen is off. I can't seem to get it to go back to normal. I've tried looking at different forums on here and google searches but when I find one their dolphin settings is a complete different layout.

Here on some screenshots I posted on Imgur.

Thanks for all the help!  Heart

Also, when using PrimeHack, I don't have this problem. So right now I'm led to think that it's the actual dolphin emulator.

Super Mario Galaxy | Inconsistent pull stars/sling pods

I'm having problems getting the pull stars and sling pods to work consistently, this isn't a problem in most cases as i can take my time and spam click the pull stars in the observatories and it will eventually work, and sling pod levels don't have time limits so I can take my time.

However I've now come to a complete standstill on the 2nd star in ghostly galaxy as it is the race and i can't even make it to the race without falling to my death trying to reach the first launch star.

The pull stars in the previous levels were much more consistent and at least allowed me to use them 90% of the time, but the 2nd ghostly galaxy level and all of the observatories are like 20% of the time at best, with the race itself being pretty much impossible due to this issue.

The hand appears and shows that I should be being dragged to the pull star like in the example here https://i.imgur.com/YDjwJl8.png but nothing happens

Is the sound speed locked to FPS? Is there a way to undo that?

$

Hi, I've been playing a bit of Wind Waker recently on Dolhpin, and while it performs amicably most of the time, I've noticed some slowdowns in busy areas like the town square in Windfall Island. Of course, these slowdowns have nothing to do with the emulator but my specs.

But the slowdowns aren't really all that noticeable in terms of visual/video speed, i.e. the game runs at 30 FPS which would dip to 26-27 but I can't tell any difference performance wise (Link's movement speed etc.) so it's alright. The only noticeable difference is in the audio part of the game. Even a dip of 2-3 FPS makes the sound extremely choppy, and the sound is really unbearable.

So I was wondering if the sound speed is locked to FPS? And if it is, is it possible to undo that? So that I can experience the audio in all its glory without any choppiness even if the FPS dips down 2 or 3 frames. Like can I have 100% sound speed no matter what the FPS at any time is, instead of the laggy/choppy sound that accompanies these FPS dips. Sorta like how in native PC games the sound speed isn't affected at all even if the game is running at 20 FPS.

And slightly related another question, for 60 FPS games that have game speed (video speed) locked to FPS -- would it possible to undo this speedlock? Such that I can have 100% game speed even at 45-50 FPS instead of the 75-80% that accompanies these FPS dips.

Does anyone have any suggestions or workaround that I can put to use here? I'd really appreciate any help I could get in these matters.
Thanks!
