*Update 3: I decided to take a more in-depth look at what was going on and managed to find the log. Apparently dolphin has the bluetooth passthrough enabled by default and I must have changed it in the past but was trying to get in-game to test it out. Anyways, it does a black screen crash if you do not have bluetooth passthrough setup according to the log window, and after I changed this to a controller it works fine.*
*Update 2: Using the stable 5.0 build, I ran some wii games and any wii game I play using an xbox 360 controller will have yelllow text pop up when I press any button on the controller that says "Wiimote 1 Connected" immediately following a millisecond later by "Wiimote 1 disconnected by emulated software" Perhaps this is an underlying reason why the latest versions were not working? Actuallly no, I found other posts where the solution that worked was to use a development build which has the black screen crash. I have plugged the controller into different USB ports with same results, and I have used the controller in PC games without any problems at all. I also tried using my mouse as a controller with the same results. Unless someone has any idea on how this problem might be solved, I will probably try a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro in a week or two.*
*Update 1: I tried NVIDIA driver 418.91 from Feb 13th, 2019 and that changed nothing so the problem persists. My last driver may have been a few months older than that, but I am uncertain.
Perhaps the issue is something with Windows, or a Vcredist I am missing, although I have the one listed in the downloads section. Ive tried OpenGL, Vulkan, D3D11 with all having the same issue where when I start the game a black window pops up for 2 seconds and disappears.
I also tried Dolphin 5.0.910, the one that blluetooth passthrough was implemented, same issue. It seems to be the fact that stable 5.0 installs that allows it to work.*
I think that there is an incompatibility with the latest NVIDIA driver as that is all I can recall having changed on my PC since the last time I used dolphin about 3 or 4 months ago, I also restored the NVIDIA control panel to default setting in case their new sharpening tool created an issue without any success in starting a game in Dolphin. However, the latest stable version 5.0 still works. I tried an in-between version 10945 and the problem persists, I have not tested any earlier except stable 5.0. I suppose I will try an earlier NVIDIA driver to see if anything changes.
