Question about Sengoku Basara 3 Utage

$

First of all I'm new to the forum so hello Smile

Second I couldn't find a thread particularly for this question so this is the best I think as it's not technical or about running the game

Finally to the question:I wanted to play Sengoku Basara 3 Utage but I was bored of leveling all the characters and downloaded a save game from gamefaqs. The problem is that although every character is maxed out after I finish a stage and get the xp my characters for some reason revert to a smaller level and lose many of their stats. To be more precise. The maximum level cap is 200.All the characters in the save are maximized but when I finish a stage and get the xp their level caps returned to 110 and 126 losing all of their stats from the lost levels.I don't really want to levelup so many chars even for this amount so do you have any ideas what the problem might be?

New Intel CPUs

Intel published some infos about the upcoming haswell refresh CPUs

No details are known but the general idea is that there will be two interesting Chips for Emulation:

- A Highend overclockers CPU "Devil's Canyon" with better thermal compound between the Die and the Heatspreader - so hopefully those CPUs will be better to overclock than the current Haswells
- Pentium Anniversary Edition, a budget unlocked Dualcore Haswell

I think the second CPU may be the perfect budget solution for Dolphin, as it will have two fast Haswell Cores which can be overclocked.

Both will come out around midyear 2014

Broadwell to be launched somewhere 2015

I recently bought a mayflash gamecube adpater; I love it, except that for some reason in the "Calibrate Function" tab of the second controller, I can't seem to calibrate the controller. Is there a fix to this or am I doing something wrong? (cuz I can do it on the first port, even tried switching around the controllers).

As you can see, the controller axis doesnt go all the way to the top, even when clicking set.

Got a couple problems needing assistance.

Hello everyone, just got a couple issues going on here perhaps someone could help with quick.

First issue is with my Xbox controllers for windows. Now they configure correctly and work but in some games it constantly cycles through menu options on menus. Looking at the Dolphin config for my controller in the program for some reason the red marker on my joysticks are stuck in the bottom or right edges. Not sure if that means much. I say some games because it acts fine in other's.

The second issue I need more of clarification than anything. Most games run pretty good on my system except EA games for some reason are real hit and miss. Sports in particular. Now for instance I can run Knockout Kings 2003 just fine, no issues but games like Madden 2005, NCAA Football 2005 and Fight Night Round 2 will run and they run at 60 FPS for a bit, then drop to 40 or so, then back up to 50 then down to 20 and so on. I thought it was just sports games in general but playing games like NHL Hitz 2003 will run fine, aside from lag during instant replays. I've tinkered with all kinds of in-game settings and I know my PC isn't an i5 or i7 and I understand the difference between emulation and PC gaming and all.

Basically i'm just wondering are EA sports games not fully emulated yet or is it truly something with my PC? Specs below...

Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit
AMD FX-8320 @ 4.0 Ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6870 w/ 14.2 Catalyst Drivers

1 second pause in early gameplay (newer dolphin versions)

$

Hi, there is a ploblem with newer versions of dolphin. Donkey Kong Country Returns (as example, the problem exists in more games) shows a 1 second pause/hitch a few meters away for every first level in a new zone.

Usually the pause matches the first time we kill an enemy or a few meters away from starting point. Next levels in the same zone (jungle, beach...) don't show that problem. When player changes zone, the new level of that zone shows the problem again.

That doesn't occur in older versions of Dolphin, where I can play every level without pauses.

I tested every option and every combination of them with no luck. It happens in every preset. Otherwise, I can't replicate that behavior in older versions.

It's not a problem with hard disk access time, first of all, 3.0 doesn't show the problem using the same iso file, but also, I tested with a 10 GB ramdisk (32 GB ram) and moving dolphin and iso file into ram. Doesn't fix the problem.

For Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, the 1 second pause occurs first times I use spin move, first time I kill an enemy or first time I crush a brick.

It's really annoying.

Help!

Swiss GC allows for many GC Games to be Widescreen which works better then the Widescreen
Hack, Can this functionality be built into Dolphin, thus no need to keep Changing Disk.

Can't Run Games Anymore

When I boot up any game in recent revisions, I get nothing but a black screen. Going back to 4.0-889, everything works fine. However, in the following build (4.0-905), the issue starts to happen. I have found one way to get games to start, and that's to change the Emulator Engine to "Interpreter," though it's obviously too slow to play. I've tried with both graphics backends and the result is the same. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

I have seen this problem on only a couple forums and none seem to fix the problem but im really interested in playing with dolphin so i thought i would ask anyway.

specs should be in my profile but ill post them anyway

Toshiba Qosmio laptop
Intel i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M
16GB ram
latest update to Directx
Latest Dolphin (4.0-1279)

I can play for about 20-30 min then the game crashes with that error, and i cannot open that particular game again until restarting the computer, or re downloading dolphin. any consecutive games work once in the same fashion.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay these are my specs

8 GB DDR3 ram
AMD Radeon R7 260X 2GB DDR5
AMD FX6350 6 cores @ 4GHZ each
1TB hard drive

I try running sonic unleashed and I'm getting 22 fps with these settings
DX11 back end
2x internal resolution
No antialiasing
OpenMP cache enabled
Everything else is default.

What's the deal? I think my specs are more than enough to run dolphin at max.

Using all ressources?

Hello everyone Smile

I have just installed Dolphin 4.0.1 and used the settings mentioned in your performance guide ( https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?t...ance_guide ), and whilist Tales of Symphonia runs smooth, Time Splitters Future perfect and Metroid Prime tend to stutter when launched.
The thing is: The Measures on my second screen show, that Dolphin doesn't use the whole ressources my system provides.
The GPU-Clock stays at mere 500 MHz, and the load never goes above 30% (Both in D11 and OpenGL Mode). Also the CPU-cores used by Dolphin are at 85% at max.

I know that Dolphin can't use all cores but I wonder why the GPU-Load and -Clock aren't increased when the game doesn't run smoothly. Or do I have to choose different settings for my machine?

My system:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 @ 8 x 4.000 MHz (not Overclocked)
GPU: AMD/ATI Sapphire 7970 Vapor-X 3 GB @ up to 1.050 MHz (auto-clock but no OC)
RAM: 4 x 4 GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 @ 1.333 MHz

How to get Nunchuk or classic detected in Sakura wars 5

when playing Sakura wars so long my Love and when it gets to the New Game Load game screan it ask please connect a nunchuk or classic controller to the Wii remote. Under Wiimote UDP Wiimote Configure option I have enabled and everything checked. So what else did I need to do to get it working?

So, I'm going to get a new computer...

Hi there,

So, it's my first post, I've read the rules for this section, and they seem pretty rough. I'm not quite sure if this post is going to be closed, but it's worth a try I guess.

So, I'm getting a new computer soon, a Lenovo Y510p, with the following specs:

Intel Core i7-4700MQ Quad-Core Haswell
8GB of DDR3 RAM
Two Nvidia Geforce GT 750Ms in SLI (with 2GB of GPU RAM each, 1GB DDR3 and 1GB GDDR5, read more about the GPU here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeFo...80.0.html)
Windows 8.1

The screen is 1920x1080, as well.

I would probably use the latest version of Dolphin, but if it gains me speed without any issues, I may downgrade to 3.5 or even 3.0.

I would probably play my whole collection at some point, which consists of:

TLoZ: Wind Waker (Gamecube)
Wii Play (Wii, not to be confused with Wii Play Motion)
Sonic Adventure DX (Gamecube, but only maybe, I have the PC port as well so I would only play this if something doesn't work out with the PC port)
TLoZ: Skyward Sword (Wii)
Pacman World 2 (Gamecube)
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Wii)
TLoZ: Twilight Princess (Wii)
Super Paper Mario (Wii)
Namco Museum (Gamecube)
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Wii Music (Wii)
Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (Wii)
Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues (Wii)
Fifa Soccer 2002 (Gamecube)
Cook Wars (Wii, you may want to look that one up, wins my "Worst Wii Game of All Time" award, just for the frame-rate)

And probably more, as I still buy Wii games, they're dirt cheap now. As you can see, I play all manner of games, so... yeah. Really, what I'm asking is, can the computer with the specs above run games rendering at 720p, maybe even 1080p, with a small amount of AA in there as well, at 100% speed? I also feel just fine without AA, and lower resolution, but the above would be preferred. I really just want to be able to play my Wii/Gamecube games collection with much improved graphics. I might even try some texture packs, I'm not quite sure at this point. I would also use a real Wii remote for all the Wii games on that list (I mean, who wouldn't), and a Logitech USB wireless Xinput/Directinput configurable controller for the Gamecube games.

I would also like to ask if Dolphin even supports SLI. If not, then I'm as good as asking if pigs can fly with this post. It's possible, as you can put a pig on an airplane, but it's not exactly optimal, either, because the pig would probably have some health problems by the end, not to mention everyone else on the plane would hear squealing the entire flight. Anyways, I do hope that I can get some help here, preferably without a closed thread on my hands.

You can alternatively use the poll, it's much quicker than writing a post.

How Do I get Nunchuk or classic detected in Sakura wars 5 so it can start?

When playing "Sakura Wars: so long my Love." when it gets to the New Game Load game screen it ask please connect a nunchuk or classic controller to the Wii remote. Under Wiimote UDP Wiimote Configure option I have enabled and everything checked. So what else did I need to do to get it working? as it won't progress any further past that screen making the game unplayable. From the reviews on the page section on the web sight all the testers seem to have no issue with it at all.

Virtual Machine OS X question?

$

Ok so I am sure this would be a first but anyways I have set up a virtual machine on my PC to emulate a mac using official mavericks from a friend who just bought a mac and my question is pretty simple is there any way to emulate dolphin(I can emulate others like gba, snes, etc but of course those aren't anywhere near as demanding like dolphin) or at least the starfield test game on it, the reason for this is because he(friend) wants to play some of my gamecube titles and maybe even dump some of his wii ones but since I don't have access to his mac 24/7 I was just looking for a way to test a few builds before going to his place set everything up instead of going there and have to do all the testing.

Any good or bad news would be appreciated, Thanks in advance

Zelda HLE Testing Wanted: Zelda ucode Cleanup Merge

$

Zelda HLE games have long been the odd ones out when it comes to the quality of HLE audio. As of 4.0-1300 there has been a change to the DSP HLE emulation for those games. As such, we would like to see what issues remain, which were fixed, and what, if any, regressions have cropped up.

The following games need to be tested in Revision 4.0-1302:

Animal Crossing
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GC)
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (Wii)
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Pikmin
New Play Control: Pikmin
Pikmin 2
New Play Control: Pikmin 2
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Mario Sunshine
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)

GameCube Bios may also be affected.

The issues that are expected to be fixed in the above games include:
*Game freezes such as Issue 7125.
*The audio in all of these games should finally be synchronous with the action.
*Audio notes being dropped, or music stopping. (Issue 2399)

Issues that have still been observed at this early state and need confirmation:
*Audio levels are still incorrect in many games. (issue 5763)
*Some sounds may still have incorrect pitch. (issue 5746)
*Audio channels may not be balanced properly. (Issue 7126)

Confirmed Game Issues
*The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
---Wrong Pitch on magic meter filling up/depleting
*Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
---Music/Sound Effect Volumes incorrect
---Missing Reverb
*Super Mario Galaxy 2
---Sound Effects/Some Musical Notes too loud

Any other bugs/fixes should be noted. Please say what game, and the circumstances that it was tested in for reproducing bugs. Thanks everyone in advance!
