Official GameCube Adapter Freezes Dolphin

I recently purchased the new GameCube Controller and Adapter in preparation for the new Smash Bros, but when I try to use it on my Google Pixel running Android 9, the app locks up and freezes after I give permission to the controller, or the controller is ignored. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, can someone help me?

I accidentally made a post in the wrong section, Android, when I should have put it in controllers and I didn't know how to delete it so I reposted it and a mod locked the one in the right section. I'm kinda scared to post it again, what do I do?

Wiimote Used to Work, Now it Doesn't

Hello, I am trying to get the Wiimote to work with Dolphin, but it just won't. It's connected to Bluetooth and Dolphin, vibrates every time I hit "refresh", but the second I open anything with it, I get the message "Wiimote 1 disconnected by emulated software" I have no clue what I'm doing wrong, it used to work just fine. I played quite a few games for about a month on Dolphin with the Wiimote and never had any issues until now. I accidentally deleted Dolphin after an Apple employee told me it was taking up space in my downloads and if I deleted it there it would be fine (newsflash, it wasn't) so I redownloaded it tonight and tried two different Wiimotes, one I've used before and another that I've never used with Dolphin before and neither one works. Once again, it connects to Bluetooth just fine and vibrates when I hit refresh in the controllers part of Dolphin. I've tried several different games, it just. won't. work. I'm only posting this here because I've been searching for an answer for hours and I just want to play. Sad Every other thread I find seems to have the original poster just magically figuring out a solution that either doesn't work for me or they don't say what they did. Any help would be great, but I have scoured these boards among several other sites and nothing I've found there works, either.

Huh I'm playing a wii game(super smash bros brawl) on pc, and at first, the emulated wiimote worked, but now it switched to the GameCube controls instead of the wiimote controls, and I'm not sure how to get back the wiimote controls to work again.

Hi, I'm working on a project which requires a PowerPC program running inside dolphin to communicate with a normal x86 application. Communicating over the Gamecube broadband adapter is very likely to slow and I read that it requires additional setup. So I decided on using IPC. Because the Gamecube code can't use any of the IPC mechanisms provided by the host OS (shared memory, pipes, etc) my plan is to reserve a small part of the Gamecube's memory and use it like a shared memory region via debugging functions like WriteProcessMemory or process_vm_writev. In order to make those writes by another program immediately visible to the PowerPC application the data needs to be always fetched from RAM (via a volatile pointer). Question: If the PowerPC code requests an uncached read does the JIT also spit out an uncached read on the host CPU? Further x86 processors have out of order execution and as such mfence, lfence and sfence instructions while the Gekko CPU doesn't. How does Dolphin deal with reordering of instructions that wouldn't have taken place on the original Gamecube? Is there a way to make dolphin spit out mfence instructions? Is reliable IPC even possible between an x86 program and a Gamecube game? Or is there a better way of communication I have missed?
I hope my plan isn't too far fetched and makes somewhat sense. In case I'm horribly confused about something please let me know.

Hi, so I'm looking into getting a laptop that can do light gaming, and there are all sorts of different versions available. What I was wondering was if there was a certain model that I should be looking at that supports full speed GameCube/Wii playback, even if it's 480p. Sorry the specs are on a different link, but on the second page of the manual is where all the specs are, so what do you recommend as the minium? I'm looking to play games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Mario Galaxy. I think this laptop is okay, but I'm not the best with specs, I've built my own super cheap rig, but that doesn't mean I exactly know how to get the best performance of everything.

But for the life of me, I can't get past the opening quote no matter the configuration I try.

For reference, my sys specs:

i5-3570K
GTX 660 Ti
DDR3 1333 8gb
Win 10 Pro (latest patches)

I've tried the following in both the latest dev version (5.0-9014) as well as the stable 5.0 release:

- Unchecking "Enable Dual Core (speedup)" in Config
- Editing the game Properties and unchecking "Enable Dual Core", "Synchronize GPU thread"

Additionally, I also attempted setting "Deterministic dual core" to both "auto" as well as "fake completion".

I've tried this all with a combination of different Graphics settings (all backends including "Software Renderer"), and disabling audio for good measure. Also tried changing the "CPU Emulation Engine" from JIT to the other interpreters.

Clearly I'm missing something here but I don't know what it could be. I appreciate any help! Thanks!

Volume Level change .ini

In the dolphin.INI I change the 'volume' value to something lower than 100 but it does not have any effect in lowering the volume. I like to listen to podcasts while I play, but still also want to hear the game a little bit. Am I doing something wrong?

My Dolphin emulator used to work, but now whenever I open it the application seems to open but no windows appear. I deleted it and redownloaded it, but the same thing happens, application is clearly open, because it shows up in my dock, but no windows show up and i can't do anything pls help. Soo... I am kinda new with writing C++ code and stuff. But I wanted it to give it a try anyway.

A while ago I mentioned this feature request: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-feature-request-custom-textures-folder-for-multiple-games.

As proof of concept, I managed to draft up the following code. It is probably horrible. I kinda managed to adjust the GetTextureDirectory method within the HiresTextures.cpp code file.

The idea is that you can place a .txt file naming it with a Game ID of the game you want to load. The text file should contain a single line of text containing the Game ID the loaded game should refer to for loading the texture pack. That's basically it. The goal is to get rid of symbolic links... I hope?

I would love that take this further on GitHub, Pull Requests and such for example. Except... I don't have any idea how to idea how to do that. So I leave it in this thread for now.

How to make the controls slower on Dolphin?

While I was playing Zelda Wind Waker I got to the room where I had to fight 3 skeletons and get the mirror shield, the problem is that I couldn't get the light beam to stay on the moon in order to unlock the door and advance because the light beam keeps moving too far up and I couldn't get the controls aim right at the moon so i'm stuck in that room. I'm playing on a keyboard.

Hold and release for tilt controls with keyboard

Is it possible to map a button to make the cursor tilt slowly (with adjustable sensitivity) when I hold a button, and then stops at the same position where I release the button?

Messed around with the tilt controls and I could only get it to tilt based on the angle I specify in the box, and then it returns to the original position when I release the button.

I need this for trauma center new blood since I need to be precise with the tilt controls.

Problems with FPS in Twilight Princess(GC)

Hello everybody!

The problem I have is that when I boot the game and go in-game, everything goes well. 30 stable FPS. But after a while (specially, but not only on cinematics) this drops to 15-20FPS as the best possibility. If not in cinematics, it happens while moving or rolling. I thought that was my setup that couldn't run it correctly, but after seeing people with lower specs than me running it with even harder configurations, well, that made no sense to me.

These are my specs:
-> OS: Windows 10 PRO
-> GPU: GTX1050 4GB
-> CPU: i5-8250U @ 1.6GHZ
-> RAM: 8GB SO-DIMM (single module)
-> BUILD: Dolphin 5.0-9111
-> Laptop: Medion Erazer P6689

And I think that's all about my specs. This is my configuration, so maybe I just have something incorrectly selected.
-> Enable Dual Core
-> Speed limit 100% (normal speed)
-> CPU Emulation Engine : JIT Recompiler
-> Nothing selected in ADVANCED tab.

Also, I haven't reach Hyrule Fields yet, but as the wiki said, I also have activated the hyrule field hack.

Finally, I have checked if the problem was my GPU or my CPU to see what could bottleneck it, and it looked like my GPU (while the drops happen) gets at 100%.

I have updated my drivers (even the GPU ones) and nothing happened.

Next problem: When I try to run Kirby, Dolphin says that Wiimote (emulated) is disconected and when I'm trying to press some buttons, It prints:
