Best Build for TAS?

Just asking, but what build of Dolphin do you recommend for TASing? Is there any that has no input lag? Is there one that's easier to use? I'm currently using Dolphin 5.0, and it has a max of 2 frames of input lag.

Bionicle Heroes (GameCube) crashes in the middle of a level

Hi all, so I've been trying to play Bionicle Heroes for the Gamecube, but it's rather... unstable. How do I put this? The game sometimes works, seemingly flawlessly, and other times, doesn't. One time, I was able to get as far through the game as the Rahkshi boss of the first level, and then the emulator froze. Other times, it just froze on level load, or when you walk near a wall, or when you fire your weapon, use your toa abliity, etc. All of these situations require a force quit for the application. This time, I decided to be smart and write all warnings to the log file. I have attached it below. The problem? I have no idea how to read it, except this small passage at the very bottom...

Code:
45:12:247 Common/MsgHandler.cpp:115 E[MASTER]: Question: GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0x42 @ 0x10d7fbb50, preprocess=false).
This means one of the following:
* The emulated GPU got desynced, disabling dual core can help
* Command stream corrupted by some spurious memory bug
* This really is an unknown opcode (unlikely)
* Some other sort of bug

Further errors will be sent to the Video Backend log and
Dolphin will now likely crash or hang. Enjoy.

Can anyone please tell me what's going on, and how to fix this please? Thanks

Wii IR problems

Hi, I've been using dolphin for a while now with Super Mario Galaxy and I've discovered a problem with the Wii IR where the in-game Cursor won't show up at all, no matter what I do. it's set as my mouse in the controls settings as Cursor Y-, Y+, X-, X+, with up, down, left, right, respectively. The game is unplayable without the Cursor, please help.

Twilight Princess HD textures renaming script

Hello everyone, I have done the painful work of dumping all the Twilight Princess HD textures and am now renaming them to use on the Dolphin Emulator so I can get the best of both worlds: HD graphics and Cheats and Stereoscopic 3D (which Cemu cannot do right now).

And I do not wish this pain upon anyone else that wants to experience the same. So since the actual textures are Nintendo Property and it is against this forums spirit to distribute it, I am making an excel spreadsheet to organize the file names that the Cemu textures need to be changed to.

Since that file is perfectly fine to share, I wanted to know if anyone knows how to write a script or a program that can take my data and convert the files automatically so anyone else that wants to do the same doesnt have to go through the mind numbing process of converting the textures they have dumped on their own.

Hey guys,

I made a userstyle for this website (including the main site, forums and wiki) that changes the sites style to a darker one. It's not perfect yet, and that's where you come in. If you find anything unusual, please open an issue in the github repo.

If you don't know what a userstyle is, it's basically a special css file that can be added by browser extensions that insert css code into websites. The format also supports user configurable variables, and various other helpful stuff. I'm not aware of any scripting abilites though, so you can be sure I don't insert malicious stuff here  Tongue

Now, how can you install this magnificent style, you ask? Just install the browser extension 'Stylus', which is a userstyle manager, and then open the eutropia.user.css file in the repo. It should open a page where you can add the userstyle automatically. It will also update everytime I will push a new version to master. You can also take the file from the 'eutropia' branch if you want to get the latest changes by me.

The current features of this style include:
  • dark mode for the wiki, forum and main site
  • configurable colors for various backgrounds layers, default and light text, default and hovered buttons, borders, information boxes, links, hovered links, compatibility colors for games from broken to perfect, and a general highlight color
  • mode for default image color correction, which changes some images in one of the following ways: dim, recommended inversion, full inversion, and off (also debug for deepfried images, if you're into that)
  • some new replacement images to fit into the dark mode if the original images couldn't be fixed with just css
There aren't many other features planned besides more configuration possiblilities (like general UI roundness), so the main aim of this project right now is to get to version 1.0.0. Depending on how many people install this style, this can take between half a week or a month.

Also, I know that the emoticons in the forums are ugly right now, I'm working on something… Either I'll take some copyrightless emojis or I'll try my best with css magic. Expect something in a few days.

Hello, I have been playing Metroid for about a couple of weeks since I got my new phone, which is the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. I had issue with the emulator but after playing around with the settings I can say I pretty much got the game to play with little to no issue at all. But there is a major issue is the the xray visor does not work all I can see is white, and I would like to know if it can be fix as I can't find any resolution for android. Thank you

Morning folks,

So trying to see if anyone has been successful with this method, if its plausible. As of now I use launchbox, and stream dolphin from my PC to Nvidia shield pro. Mainly for gamecube, but I wanted to venture into Wii. So I have the Wii working on my PC using a dolphinbar, works great. I thought for shits and giggles I would plug the dolphinbar into my shield pro and see if it was something easy. Well, guess not. I can get the Wii remote to work as a remote to cycle through shield and launchbox, but when i launch a Wii game, dolphin wants no part of it. Is this a thing, and im just doing something wrong, or was it just wishful thinking?

(GC) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban PAL Boot issue

hi all,
um i wanted to ask on the 3rd harry potter game for gamecube
as i have a bit of an issue with this game:

1) does this game run at all in dolphin 5.0?
i cannot get this to boot at all, no FPS or anything and im using the PAL version of the game and
i have checked that it is a redumped version (good version) via nkit tool.

i have seen videos that this game works in dolphin 4.0, but not in 5.0?

anyway to get this to work? does it need any speical config settings apart from the default dolphin
shipped settings to work?

the other HP games 1 & 2 work fine, but this one does not.

(GC) Star Fox Assult PAL JIT ARM64 CPU core crash issue

hi all,
um i have an issue with this game:

Star Fox Assult, the PAL version
the game is a redumped version (i checked it via nkit tool)

when i go to boot it via the deafult settings it crashes on quits on boot when using
JIT ARM64 as CPU core

but in retroarch's dolphin core however it loads up fine via this cpu core,

so what's the issue here that cuases the game to crash in dolphin dev on JIT ARM64,
but in retroarch's dolphin core it works fine with no crashes?

any fix?

(Q): How to map the "System back" option to a button on gamepad?

hi all,
a cool feature that was added recently to dolphin for andriod was the


"Android: Use Back to open the emulation menu on all devices"

which is rather niet and works great,
but how can this be mapped to a gamepad button?

on MMJ, there is a "system back" option for mapping a button to,
but i cant seem to find an option for this in the dev version of dolphin

any way to do this on a gamepad? or add the feature in a future andriod update of dolphin?

Hey, months ago I played super smash bros melee well always at 60 fps but now it has terrible sound and very low fps. When I play other games the same happened. I tried spiderman 1 and wow, 5 fps and the game was glitching.

Wii games don't work on
Android from build 5.0-12606. When entering any iso wii the emulator stops working immediately.
My device is Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Snapdragon 845, Android 10.

Is it possible to implement support for DDS textures (bc1-bc7) on the Android version of the emulator? Would it be faster when playing with texture packs?

Ghost Squad 60 FPS Gecko Code

So, I just got Ghost Squad up and running in Dolphin. While it runs exactly as it should and plays fantastic with a mouse, this video caught my eye:

I didn't understand how it was doing what it was doing. I couldn't find the code in question he talks about in the description, and the code itself was not in the description.
So, does anybody know what the Gecko code is for this? Or, does anybody know what I have to do to enable 60 FPS for this game?
