So the game has leaked and apparently Mario 64 and Sunshine (gcm file) are running on emulators where as Galaxy seems to be a port.

Hopefully this allows game injections.

Will a Chromebook be able to run the Dolphin Emulator?

Ok, so I wanted to run Dolphin on my Dell Chromebook Model 3100. So, here is a more straightforward list of the specs of my Chromebook.

Operating System: Google Chrome OS, 64-bit
Processor/CPU: Intel Celeron N4020 Dual-Core, Runs up to 2.8GHz
Video Card/GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 600
Memory/RAM: LPDDR4 (On-board memory), 4 GB

I'm not really sure if it would run or not, so I decided to ask anyone for some clarification.

Dolphinbar computable with 3rd party controllers?

Ive been trying to get this to work for a few hour now on my stationary windows 10 build, and I can't get in game. I get a "disconnected by emulated software" as soon as I start a game.

I don't use a original controller. I use this one...

https://www.amazon.com/Nunchuck-Controller-Compatiple-Console-Function/dp/B07NSZJXR3/ref=pd_sbs_147_25?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07NSZJXR3&pd_rd_r=f1043aa5-b68e-43fc-bc73-5320c07a3dd9&pd_rd_w=Jp89r&pd_rd_wg=7zEGg&pf_rd_p=703f3758-d945-4136-8df6-a43d19d750d1&pf_rd_r=N8080E911RAZF1N91YHZ&psc=1&refRID=N8080E911RAZF1N91YHZ

Is it possible to get it to work - or do I need to buy a original wii controller? And in that case - which one should I go for?

Thanx Heart

The Wii games don't work on last version and i don't know the why

480P is the same since 5.0-11455, to use 480P on last builds, users have to download 5.0-11333 or Below to use the 480P function

I'm Having Issues With Wii Games Not Booting

Hi, I'm new to Dolphin. I've read through the FAQs, I've checked the game compatibility lists, and I've watched several YouTube tutorials. As far as I can tell, I'm following everything properly.

When I launch GameCube games, it runs with no problem. When I launch Wii games, it just gives a black screen as if loading, but none of the yellow file text at the top appears, and it just sits like that until I use Task Manager to force close it (it won't even let me just exit out).

Now maybe my files are formatted incorrectly, maybe I have accidentally done some kind of incorrect setting, or maybe even my computer isn't good enough to run it. But I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Can I get some help?

Thanks!

Graphical Issues ProStreet (Wii) Android

So I have this weird graphical bug on Need For Speed ProStreet, when there are no cars present on screen everything works fine but when there is a car I get this yellow tint on my screen (see pic).
I have tried a dozen of versions all back to versions that cant even run the game. I have played around for hours with the settings in the emulator, no luck.

I have seen only 1 reddit post reposted twice about this issue and it is a user with a Mali GPU.

My phone: Huawei Nova 5T Kirin 980.

If you have any ideas I would be very happy because I love this game and it runs pretty decently on my phone.

Thank you in advance!

(Ignore that the filename of the screenshot is MMJ, the same happens on all versions of dolphin I have tried, including a dozen official versions)

Keyboard unresponsive via Teamviewer

Hi all!

I figured this was the most appropriate forum to post this one but I have a weird issue when using Teamviewer

My work is very slow so in the downtime I like to log into my home PC and mess around.

Well i am in the middle of a Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn run for WII and would love to teamview into Dolphin to finish it

What is weird is it appears my keyboard of my laptop is not being recognized by Dolphin when I log in.

It works fine in any other program so I know Teamviewer is not the issue.

Has anyone had this problem before? If so is there any good tinkering I can do to try to get it to work?

thanks!

Mipmaps don't work?

I noticed that mipmaps don't work in many multiplatform games. Although dump textures in them have _m_ but there is no _mip. Interestingly, if you make a custom textures pack with mipmaps, they work.
I tested many versions of dolphin and different settings, but the mipmaps didn't work.
Games where I found the problem (but there are many more): Need for speed HP2-Carbon, Batman Begins, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, The incredible Hulk ultimate destruction, Hitman 2.
Maybe I have something with video drivers? Adrenalin 20.8.2 AMD radeon 540 video card.

I recently reinstalled Dolphin on my computer since it crashed a few days ago, and when I try to launch it, I get the message "IOS_FS: Failed to rename temporary FST file". I need help on how to fix this and be able to play Dolphin.

As the title says, it is strange that being one of the settings that more penalize the performance of some games, a shortcut has not been added to enable and disable it with the press of a key. Hopefully some developer takes it into consideration for those people like me who don't have a powerful PC.

Games like super mario galaxy and zelda skyward sword etc. become tedious with having to enter the emulator settings to disable or enable that option at all times. Thank you so much.

Change mem1/mem2 size in Android build

I know this isn't an option in the GUI, but is there anyone with a fork made with expanded ram, or who could walk someone with literally no coding experience whatsoever (myself) through how to do it? Hell, I'd pay someone at this point, I just want a dedicated spot to play the Colossal Caverns hack and I have no PC.

Exactly as the title says. No matter how much fiddling around i do with all the settings i can't get the sound to work in any game. I'm running it on an asus rog phone 1, and i have an unrelated problem that whenever i exit a game back to the menu i cannot resume or select any new game without restarting the app

Consistent frame pacing issues in spite of extensive trial and error

I'm getting microstuttering/frame pacing issues as described in this three-year-old thread, pretty much to a tee. tl;dr it's not the typical shader cache stuff (I'm on a 1080 Ti and use Ubershaders anyway), it's some separate rendering issue. In the end of the thread, the only thing that solved the author's problem was using XFB Real, and the newer XFB Hybrid feature seemed to work as well. I've messed with everything the author of that thread has messed with, to no avail. I downloaded an older version of Dolphin that still supported XFB Real, which appears to have been removed in later versions, and that had no effect for me.

As referenced in the thread, here's a slow-motion video of what exactly is going on: https://youtu.be/LNblklPYFX8

Any ideas? I'm meticulous about this kind of thing, I've fiddled with everything I can think of, buttery-smooth gameplay continues to elude me.

On a perhaps-separate-but-perhaps-related note, it seems to me like Dolphin doesn't actually do exclusive fullscreen--in its fullscreen mode, I still see my cursor, and I can still drag windows on top of it. Looks like it's borderless to me, even though I have the borderless option disabled. If I enable the borderless fullscreen option, its behavior doesn't change at all, so it seems like it's just always borderless no matter what. Same behavior in that regard too between the latest version and the three-year-old one I tested with.

To be clear: the problem remains the same even with a totally clean install of Dolphin. I always use portable installations.

Help mapping Razer Kishi for Wii games

$

Very new to using Dolphin so it is very possible I am just selecting the wrong configuration. I'm using a Google Pixel 4 XL with the Dolphin app version 5.0-12247.

I am trying to set up a Razer Kishi to play Wii games, right now, specifically Twilight Princess. If I map the GC controls, nothing works. If I map the Wii remote with an extension for the Classic controller mapped with the Kishi I can get past the title screen to the main menu but then the game pauses and wants a nunchuck connected. I had read on another post that the controls set up depends on the game and what it is compatible with, but I know Twilight Princess for the Wii is compatible with a GC controller because that's what I used to use back in the day. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I tried this same thing using a DS4 controller.

i was wondering it it is doable to control the pointer with the control stick for these games.

Super Mario Sunshine 4K (HD Texture Pack) [1.0.0] 2020-09-17

Hi! Welcome to my HD texture pack information page for Super Mario Sunshine 4K!  Smile

  • There are ~1500 textures in total in the game (I have tried to dump every single one, however I may have missed a few). Out of these textures roughly 500 have been completely re-textured. Many other textures have been been up-scaled using A.I upscaling. Some filtered textures have been modified or changed entirely to look better as well. Some textures remain completely untouched until I've worked on them since some textures look bad when upscaled.

  • I am completely up for suggestions, changes and submissions. You will of course be fully credited for any work you submit.

  • The 4K version of the texture pack is scaled to 8x the default resolution, this means that (if internal resolution is increased in Dolphin) you may be able to view some textures at a staggering 6832x3480 resolution! Taking into account that you are using the widescreen hack of course. The 1080p version is scaled to 4x the default resolution, which results to slightly above 1080p.
  • My goal with this texture pack is to enhance the original game visuals while staying faithful to the original vision. That means my textures are meant to blend in as much as possible with the old textures so the game feel doesn't change too much.

  • This texture pack is for Super Mario Sunshine on the GameCube only. There are no plans to port it to the Switch version in Super Mario 3D All Stars.

  • This texture pack will work with any custom mods / hacks of Super Mario Sunshine as long as they aren't adding new textures or changing old ones (in that case, conflicting textures will be overwritten by one another but it will still work).

  • Ishiiruka-Dolphin is required to make material maps, shaders and other nice visual features work and is highly recommended. There is a custom fork of Ishiiruka Dolphin inside the texture pack download which you can use, or alternatively download the latest version of Ishiiruka-Dolphin (pros only!).
  • There is a 60 FPS patch provided with the texture pack, and it works without any major issues on the NTSC (North American) version of the game. The European version also has a 60 FPS patch, but might cause some glitches (most notably laggy cutscenes). Therefore, the 60 FPS patch is only enabled by default on the NTSC version of the game. The Japanese version has no codes enabled at all by default and is not recommended.
  • Currently, only NTCS and PAL textures have been modified. You can still use this texture pack on Japanense / Korean versions of the game in Dolphin, it will still work. This will not include the Jap/Kor region specific textures though.
  • If you don't like the way my texture pack looks over the original, please note that all post processing can be modified easily from user to user to fit your own preference. If you think "I'd rather play Switch version" then this probably isn't for you.
  • If you are having issues with stuttering and lag, remember to check "Prefetch Custom Textures" in the 'Advanced' tab of the Graphics settings before asking for help. I also recommend enabling V-Sync as it removes screen tearing in full screen mode. If it's still lagging, try lowering the internal resolution a bit.
  • This texture pack is in no way shape or form related to the Super Mario 3D All Stars remaster of Super Mario Sunshine!

Why would I play this over the Switch / Super Mario 3D All Stars version?

There are many reasons why you would want to play the GameCube version of Super Mario Sunshine with a HD Texture Pack over the Switch version. Here are some I've listed out the top of my head;
  • Better visuals (Higher resolution textures, material maps, rim lighting, depth of field, ambient occlusion, global illumination, tonemapping, post processing shaders and even ray tracing which is coming at a later date!)
  • It's cheap (if you own the original game, you don't need to pay 60$ to play it in HD)
  • Full GameCube controller support (including rumble)
  • 60 FPS & 120 FPS
  • Ultra Widescreen Support (21:9 or even higher)
  • Superior mods and modding tools
  • Free Cam
  • Supports a plethora of cheats and patches
  • Stereoscopic 3D support
  • VR Potential
  • Supports nearly all gamepads. Including PS4, Xbox One or the Switch Pro Controller.
If you still don't think playing with my texture pack is the better way to enjoy the game over the Switch version, then this probably isn't for you.
