Wii remote not detected by control panel or Dolphinbar

Hello,

I recently bought a new Wii remote since mine has issues with the nunchuck port. It is a standard Wii remote RVL-003 without motion plus which I bought on Amazon. I followed the procedures on how to connect my Wii remote to my computer with a bluetooth adapter. Upon going to the control panel and clicking on "Add a device", I press the sync button on my Wii remote, as well as having Dolphin opened, with the "Continuous Scanning" option checked. Unfortunately, my computer does not detect my Wii remote, no matter what I try. I'm not sure where the issue comes from, as this works perfectly fine with my older Wii remote; upon doing the same actions, my computer detects it properly and it works on Dolphin (note: the old Wii remote is a RVL-036 with the motionplus inside).

It also doesn't properly connect to the Dolphinbar I recently bought. My Dolphinbar is set on the 4th mode. connected to my computer, in front of my screen, below it. As I press the sync button on the Dolphinbar and then on my Wii remote, either one of 2 scenarios follow:

1: The Wii remote blue lights flash and stay lit for roughly a second, before turning off, and after that, if I press the sync button or the 1 and 2 button at the same time, the blue lights do not light up, and the sync light on the Dolphinbar stops flashing and turns off.
2: The Wii remote connects to the Dolphinbar for less than a second, before the blue lights turn off and no button can light them up again. Oddly enough, the Dolphinbar sync light stays lit, despite the Wii remote not working.

The batteries aren't the issues, as they're chargeable batteries I've charged fully, and they work on the old Wii remote. At this point, my only theory is that something is wrong with the new Wii remote I bought, as everything works with the old one (Which I would avoid using at all cost because of the nunchuck issues, which are that the nunchuck very easily unplugs or glitchs out and I have to unplug it, blow in the nunchuck port and plug it back in, something that I do almost every minute at this point.). It would be a shame if I had to buy yet another one because they aren't exactly cheap and I don't have that much money to begin with. I sincerely hope someone knows how to find a solution!

reading lightgun games output - rumble/feedback?>

Hello,
Hopefully im posting in the right place...
Is there a way to read any output of games maybe capture (realtime) and use the outputs?

What im hoping can be done is this:
Capture outputs for lightgun games like Hit/Miss/Score and then display the output on a RGB matrix using DOFLinx to capture the outs/signal. MAME has an output option where this works, so hoping Dolphin has something like this or can be a future Smile feature?

Anyone tried/know if this is possible?

thanks

Crackling audio - Dolphin 5.0 14095

Hello everyone,

I'm using the freshly released Dolphin dev version 5.0-14191: I appear to have a common problem, that is, audio is crackling. Wii games show a more stable audio, but still crackle.

My computer specs are as follows:

Intel Core i7-7700

16 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

Windows 10 Pro

I set the Graphics backend to Vulkan, and my own graphic card as adapter. Aspect ratio is set to Auto, V Sync is disabled.

The Shader is set to Synchronous (Default setting), the other options are set to default values.

Audio: the backend is set to Cubeb, latency is fixed at 20, I tried all three options under the DSP Emulation Engine (HLE, LLE, Recompiler, Interpreter) with and without Dolby Pro Logic II Decoder.

Audio Stretching is disabled, Buffer size is fixed at 39 ms.

Now, I can do fine without audio, of course. But it has me wondering nonetheless, since I remember it being just fine both with an old AMD Radeon card, Win7, back in 2012, on a (very) old iMac.

While browsing, I stumbled upon multiple occurrences of this problem, but I still haven't found a solution.

Thanks in advance!

I like to save the controller settings with each game on a backup drive so when I reinstall Dolphin It would be there for each game.
I appreciate some guidance.

MacBook Pro Retina, Mid 2014
Processor- 2.2 Ghz Quad-core Intel Core I7

Help Setting Up Sensor Bar + 3rd Party Wiimote

I am having trouble setting up my Sensor Bar and Wiimote for Dolphin.

https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00FJ2LE7C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.mayflash.com/Products/NINTENDOWiiU/W010.html

Those are my Wiimote and Sensor Bar(Which has updated firmware)

My Bluetooth Adapter is built into my MOBO which is a MSI MEG Z490 ACE

When I use the option to Emulate a real Wii Remote, the buttons on the Wiimote work fine(Can press A+B at the Title screen, can press the Home Button and the Home Screen pops up), however i have no pointer, I have not tried to see if swinging or any of that works, as I can't get past File Select screens due to lack of pointer.

When I choose the option to Passthrough a Bluetooth Adapter, the ISO will only launch for a few seconds with a black screen and crash. I don't seem to see any sort of error message pop up after crash.

I've tried using Zadig, but I'm unsure which device to replace with libusbK.

To the Dolphin Team, please consider making an N64 emulator

Yes, I know that GameCube and Wii are similar and this is why dolphin emulates both of them, and I also know that it CAN run n64 games but trought the Wii emulation so it's not the best.
I ask this because now n64 emulators are very VERY bad, Project64 is windows-only, it is plugin based which is bad because there aren't a lot of plugins and they are usually bad, also it switched recently to open-source but it didn't help because no one and I mean NO ONE as contributed to the project if not in minor ways. Then there's Mupen64plus that is better because it is a long time that it is open-source and the code is cleaner, BUT if you want to play rom hacks you can't, because most of them are done with Project64. There isn't competition like 0. Both emulators take long time to improve and n64 emulatrion really sucks now. But if there was a n64 emulator made by the Dolphin Team only with half of the quality of Dolphin i'm sure it will be far better than both Project64 and Mupen64plus. If you also add mac and linux support it would be great and it would allow for some people to play older games. And imagine netplay! I know that it can be done with some plugin with Project64 and in some versions of Mupen64plus but it is tricky. I hope that something like this would exist.

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance crashes

Hi, I have a BIG issue recently with this game: I was playing normally and I was using a few codes to get some weapons so I could give them to my units later in the game, the issue is that at first it was working with few minor issues, but now every time I turn on the codes and want to check the inventory, it always crashes giving the error seen in the picture, and it is the ONLY CODES that make the game crash, anything that ccan be done?

I took the codes from the next links:

Xbox One controller (model 1708) issue

Hi! I have an Xbox One controller (model 1708) connected to my OnePlus 9 Pro over Bluetooth, it works for every other game/emulator, and I can properly bind every key in Dolphin (even rumble!). However, once I actually start playing, nothing works. The only keypresses that elicit a reaction are B (which is recognized as the "Back" key and brings up the menu) and Home, which minimizes Dolphin. I also have a DualShock 4 that works perfectly, and I use it when connected to a TV, but I'd rather use the Xbox One controller on the go, since I have a clip holder for it. Could I be doing anything wrong? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Same behavior in wired mode.

This is not making sense and I am about to give up

Hi. This emulator just doesn't work for me and I don't know why. These are my specs. Not trying to be glib, I feel utterly exhausted and defeated.

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core Processor.

16 gigs of RAM

I genuinely do not know what to do, I have experimented with every slider position, back end, shader, Alias, whatever combo you name, I've tried it. Tried turning up the game speed, overclocking, everything. The logos load fine, menus go off without a hitch but, aside from Thousand Year Door, none of my games will run at any consistent rate.

Skies of Arcadia drops to 10 fps when not in combat.

Metroid Prime is a rollercoaster. One minute, it's 60, the next minute it is at a near stand still, dipping into the SINGLE digits then back up again.

Mario Kart Double Dash drops to just above 10 fps as soon as you get to the track cutscene and doesn't stop until you get back to the menus.

Wind Wakerdrops to ten frames once I get in game as well.

My system is barely a year old and it can run modern games at 100+ fps but for some reason, Dolphin is just too much and I don't know why. I play every game at the lowest setting and it's great... until I actually need to do stuff...

Please, if anyone can recommend SOMETHING to help, a program, a setting in the NVIDIA control panel, a setting config for just Skies of Arcadia and Wind Waker (and no, the wiki ones don't work for me), I would be eternally grateful!

Dolphin not recognizing GameCube controller

Dolphin doesn't recognize my controller anymore. It says "Adapter Detected" when I go into the GameCube Adapter for Wii U (which, by the way, is an offbrand one), I have reinstalled the drivers, tried all adapter slots, changing USB slots... It's weird because I was able to use it perfectly. Now I tried everything I could think of and nothing. I may be overlooking something, but I honestly don't know. Anyone got any lead?

Shadow Queen Crash

Hi,

I've been happily enjoying Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door on Dolphin for a while. When I first started, I had the glitchy animations with paper mode but I managed to fix that by changing to Direct3D 11 and disabling bounding box (I think I used OpenGL before that). Since then I've not encountered any major issues. However recently I have been having a problem where whenever I play the shadow queen cutscene, the game crashes at this point (where the Shadow Queen is about to strike Grodus with lightning). I've played this cutscene on the same PC and on the same version of dolphin (5.0 - 13603) and this hasn't happened, including a couple of times where I've somehow gotten past since this issue started, but for the most part the game crashes whenever this cutscene happens. I've tried running as admin, running in compatibility mode, and countless options in the graphics settings tab (I don't really know what most of them do) but I can't figure out a combination that will consistently make this happen.

I don't seem to have this problem in version 5.0 but I'd very much like to fix it on the dev build because it's much more optimised and my PC is not extremely powerful (good enough for most games with native resolution.)

I also get the same error some other graphics effects, those I've identified so far:
- Jumping on a Lava bubble
- Hammering a Lava bubble
- (Possibly anytime a lava bubble takes damage)
- The explosion at the end of "Showstopper"

I named this thread after the shadow queen graphics problem because that's the only one I've identified which strictly gets in the way of beating the main story.

Emulated Wiimote Configuration: Where is IR?

$

I'm new to the scene and have been setting up my Gamecube and Wii collection and would like to make custom controller assignment for Super Mario Galaxy 1&2. I've got everything set up properly except the IR pointing; I tried mapping the Wiimote movement to mouse/gyro through ReWASD but it's not working.

Then I saw this post from a year ago that shows a version of the Emulated Wiimote configuration menu that I don't have in my version of Dolphin. Namely, the IR menu doesn't appear at all. This
video from five years ago has the same menu. Has the IR portion of things been deprecated? If it's moved, can someone tell me what has taken its place in the new configuration menus, and where I might find it? Pairing Wiimote movement to the right analog stick would be fantastic and I feel like this is my best bet.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Super Paper Mario Crashes

I am trying to play Super Paper Mario but every time I get to the castle cut scene, it goes black and makes an annoying noise. I saw someone else talking about this and they said they fixed it, but didn't explain how.
