Controllers not working

So I'm confused because I've been running Dolphin with launch box for over a month for Gamecube with no issue. Went to go play it today and none of the controllers are working. I can't even use the keyboard to exit the game. Not sure what happened? I'm using a ps2 controller and a generic usb controller and they're both recognized

Tried other emulators with no issue and even tried Gamecube thru retroarch with no problem but I really like using Dolphin. I did update dolphin to 5.0 14344 just now but I can map all the controls within dolphin just fine but then when I play a rom nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wiimote pointer will not show up

I'm using the wiimote with motion plus to play skyward sword, but the pointer rarely shows up on the screen. How can i reset the pointer? I cant get to the area where it allows you to press down on the d-pad to recenter.

Input function on old input mapping?

Hi,

for an input mapping, i need to use a sort of "double tap" thing.

In a most "recent" dolphin version (5.0-11824) i use the function "tap" ('button' & tap('button',0.25,2) that works fine, but in an older dolphin version (like the original 5.0), it doesn't, giving syntax error.

i need to make it work on the old mapping version because the modified ishiiruka dolphin version uses that one

is there absolutely no syntax that can replicate this?

Scripting disc change

I've been using Dolphin for years but I just joined the community, I am working on a little project and I was wondering if there is a way to script a disc change. I'm trying to turn an old PC into a HD Wii and using the Wii menu makes it feel more authentic as well as easier in full screen. The only annoying thing about using the Wii menu to launch games is that you need to swap out the disc using the dolphin interface. If I could make a script to do this remotely, that would make things more seamless.

Billy Hatcher texture issues

Hi, since I got my M1 Mac Mini in February I've been trying to get Billy Hatcher to run properly (literally no other game has an issue that I've tried so far). Yet no matter what I do for settings, or what version I load, the following texture flickering occurs like an untuned television on certain textures.


Does anyone know what is causing this, and how is best to rectify it?

Causing Stutter in Wii Kart

Hello,

Using the latest copy of Dolphin on my phone. Phone is Xperia XZ2 with an snapdragon 845 and 4gb of Ram.

When trying to play Wii Mario Kart, the sound is very much stuttery and broken. Graphics for the most part are okay but really grind to a halt. Good Examples are:

1) When selecting how many players, the kart whizzing through stutters
2) Selecting mario causes the animation to be really jerky and the sound breaks
3) On next part clicking the okay button again the sound is almost unrecognisable and very stuttery graphics
4) First cup first race as the camera zooms around lugui statue it almost stops before starting again and the being very stuttery zooming around kart.

Once playing you get the odd stutter both graphics or sound but nothing as bad

What’s causing this and how do I fix it please? I have tried various options but nothing seems to improve it

GameCube picture is distorted after updating

This is driving me nuts so if anyone could help I'd really appreciate it.

In 4.0 my GC games played in 4:3 at 640x480. Screenshots of killer7 and Kirby Air Ride.

In both 5.0 and 5.0-14344, killer7 now displays at 592x488 and Kirby Air Ride at 612x488. It's the same whether the aspect ratio is set to Auto or 4:3. Screenshots.

Graphics settings.

Any way to get the games to display in proper 4:3 again?

I don't think my cpu is the problem.. (5950x) but for the life of me i can not get this emulator to work with out it stuttering. Games will work at 60 fps then pauses for a sec. I have tried a lot of combination of settings. Vulkan direct3d 11 direct3d 12. I have the isos on a NVME drive..

Is it possible to use a Playstation move as a wii mote? I have a working PS move and PS eye for a PS3. The only posts about PS moves as wii motes are from 2018, so there's probably a solution now

I want an SFF box to play GameCube and Wii games in the living room, and this looks like the best fit:

Will it be happy to run dolphin at 4K60?

If not, what are the highest settings I could expect from it? Small form factor is a priority for me; I don't want the heft and cost of a tower. My TV is 55", so I might be able to see the difference between 2K and 4K on it, but it would be so subtle, and my eyes aren't 4K anymore anyway.  Cool  So I'd be happy to play in 1080p, but if I could get it up to 4K, that would be a nice bonus!

The NUC has a RTX 2060 GPU integrated in the motherboard, and for comparison, I tested using my Dell XPS 15 9570, which has a GTX 1050. It managed to run at 5X (3200x2640) IR on it with 80% GPU load, so I'm feeling optimistic about the NUC going all the way to 4K.

Besides dolphin, this box will play some videos, run a plex server, and some other light work, and dolphin doesn't use much RAM (?), so I thought I'd just get 8GB of DDR4-3200 1.2V SO-DIMM.

I am working on a Python script to add Discord Rich Presence support to Punch-Out!! on the Wii (more then just "Playing Punch-Out!!"), however, I ran into a small roadblock, I have no clue how to access the emulated system's memory through this script.

Is it possible to do this?

Flashing polygons with Netplay on X-Men Legends 1

My friend and I are trying to play X-Men Legends on Netplay. It runs perfectly. No lag at all, however the models are flashing and glitching out. Is that a common occurence with Netplay ? Apparently, some people were able to make the game work fine on Netplay..

Dolphin freeze

I have tried to search up this problem but couldnt find a solution, for some reason on my computer whenever i try to enter the controller settings on dolphin it freezes, it very rarely wont happen but it is still very consistent, my friend doesnt have a problem with it and obviously not many other people have problems with it from how rare this seems to be, i can answer any questions if it will help to fix this problem because i dont know whats wrong, i tried reinstalling and deleting dolphin's configs and still nothing

See what files are being accessed/called/used?

I'm working on a project with Donkey Konga 2 and I want to see which file contains the drum beats that appear on screen, but I have no luck so far. Is there any way to find out what files are being called so I can see which file the song drum data is stored in? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new to stuff like this. Thanks!

5.0-14406 and previous from the past week broken hotkeys

Hotkeys up to and including 5.0-14406 (11 Jun, a09d9cf608fa9d2c20f6419879ad9867e1990cea) but going back at least as far as one week have very broken hotkeys.

Most of the time, they don't work at all. In many cases just attempting to press one of the modifier keys immediately triggers the hotkey that's using it(for example pressing Alt when Alt+RETURN is set to toggle fullscreen immediately toggles it, or pressing Shift when Shift+F1 is intended to Save Slot 1 immediately saves in slot 1). The broken functionality is further inconsistent with fullscreen, upon which even more hotkeys break while a few remain functional.

Since i had play somes mkw hacked game like mkw wiimms fun or mkw deluxe each time i sélect a settings menu the wiimote loose connection ... it hapen in any mkw version, original too but any others games work well ! This strange bug make mario kart wii unplayable Sad someone can help me ?

Finally, It's about time! I tested out the mGBA connectivity with the new Dolphin update, which fixed a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles issue, and they seemingly fixed Sonic Adventure 2 as well!

I booted up mGBA, got the Tails chao from the Demo Disc (D55J01; Interractive Disc Catalog Summer 2003 For Japan [Disc 1, Revision 0])

If you want to do this yourself, grab a copy of the Demo Disc, and any SA2B version.

You're going to want to extract the "sonic_joycarry.tgc" from the files. You can do so via Dolphin. Get into HxD and search for [color=#333333]GSBJGSBEGSBPASOJASOEASOP[/color]

Load it up, connect mGBA to Dolphin, and copy the chao over. then do the same for SA2. Your chao might say something, which'll stop the transfer process, but just press A, and then SA2 should recognize it.

If it doesn't work connect two GBAs (two mGBAs)

SSX Tricky error code and loading screen freeze

This has been an issue for a while (through several updates) and I still can not get it to work.

Displays prompt on boot:

GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0xfe @ 0x 1b2cc330643, Preprocess=false)
The exact numbers vary and it suggests a few causes for the issue. I am not running dual-core and I've reset the sheer cache and still have issues.

I've messed around with many settings and am willing to try whatever is suggested (even if I've already done it). At this point, I don't know what to do.

White Screen issue in Kirby's dream collection and Return to Dreamland

I've looked around and tried a few things already but no luck. I've found people with similar issues but none exactly like mine For both of these games I have the same problem:

I can launch the game and get through the wriststrap safety and controller orientation cards. Then, it freezes on a white screen.

Most issues I've found say theirs goes straight to white and that it's a dual-core or shader setting problem. However, I still have had the problem with several updates after several attempted fixes.
