Distortion when mesh close to camera and stereoscopic

$

I'm running into a weird problem where 3D models get distorted when I have any stereoscopic setting enabled and an object gets fairly close to the camera. It's like certain vertices get clipped or extruded or something. I searched these forums for a similar problem but couldn't find one.

In Xenoblade I'm seeing character faces get stretched funny during cutscenes. In Metroid Prime Trilogy, Samus' gun gets distorted in various ways as I move it around.

Here are a couple screenshots: one of normal Metroid Prime and one with the distortion that's going on.

Anyone know what's causing this?

hello guys ..
I just read an article about the worlds first full aluminum cylindrical case. finally a case that can look good next to your tv thats not a box , this is one of the best HTPC cases that i have seen on the market and the finish is just amazing. It fully supports small form factory mini ITX components and when it is time to upgrade its not issue. It would be also a good gaming console case.

Intel NUC n3050 Ubuntu?

No Device

I used Dolphin for the first time yesterday and it worked no problem.

Today I am trying to play again, and it is completely unresponsive to my keyboard.

Under standard control settings, everything is set to default, but the device line is blank. There is nothing in the drop down. I am using a laptop, so the keyboard is well, always attached. Is there something I can do to make it recognize the fact that I do have a keyboard attached?

Thanks,

EB

Hi everyone,

what can I fix it?
I use default settings except Backend, I have OpenGL and Internal Resolution, I use 4x Native. Even when I use 1x Native, I have this freeze.

WIN10 x64

GPU: GTX 660 2 GB
RAM: Crucial 2*4 GB

Sorry for my english, I hope you understand when I have this freeze.

Will this build be able to record Melee in 60fps?

So I want to be able to record Melee in 60 fps using OBS without any drops. No texture mods, just raw, native quality Melee. I asked around other websites and this is the build I'm at so far.

If there are any changes need to be made, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Battle for Bikini Bottom wont run at full speed on either of my most powerful systems

$

Ok so ive been trying to get battle for Bikini Bottom to run on my system at full speed. Ive tried changing the res, using aggressive speed hacks everything. It refuses to break the 40FPS barrier. Considering the recommended CPU on the dolphin wiki page is a 3.2GHZ Core2Duo i'm thinking i HAVE to have configured it wrong.

System 1:

Windows XP Professional SP3 x86
Core2Duo E8400 @ 3GHZ
NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX 768MB
4GB 800MHZ Crucial DDR2
SoundMax HD Audio

Naturally ive tried it with no hacks, and all applicable to dual core hacks. Ive used OpenGL backend for all tests since that the best performaing on that machine.
Was able to get it to average 40FPS. So i only need to boost performance by around 30 percent here.

System 2:

Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Core2Quad Q8300 @ 2.5GHZ
NVIDIA GeForce 750TI 2GB Hyper-clocked
4GB 667MHZ PNY Optima DDR2
Realtek HD Audio

Same situation, tried it with and without hacks, and with both the Direct3D 11 and OpenGL Back end. Ive also tried multi-threading hacks. Managed to coax it into an average 30FPS which is half what i need. I was going to try the OpenCL Texture decoder since theoritically my large number of cuda cores would make this the ideal setup but it crashed Dolphin on this system.

This game isnt exactly the most demanding out there. Have i configured the emulator in a horrible manor or something? I should be able to handle these fine given that i almost match the recommended requirements on the wiki. Both these builds are modified Dell Optiplexs BTW so overclocking isnt an option. Essentially i need to double my performance, not sure how realisitc of a goal that is but it seems to me my systems arent performing as they should.

What about Dolphin's built-in widescreen hack?
Dolphin's built in widescreen hack usually works, but for many games, there are often issues related to disappearing objects and geometry on the left and right side of the screen. For an example of this, go to 5:00 of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kPcHD9q8qU
Render fixes will be listed on Dolphin Wiki.

DX12 Randomly Crashing

$

Hi all. Been using the DX12 backend a bit lately, worked fine for me for about a week. No issues on Mario Kart Wii, Windwaker, Pokemon Rumble. Suddenly, starting today, the DX12 backend is crashing out of nowhere for no reason whatsoever completely randomly. Sometimes it'll work, sometime's it'll crash before the game loads, sometimes it'll crash if I try to open the graphics menu.

Anyone got any ideas what in the hell could be causing such a random series of crashes?

Hey guys,

I would like to report and ask for help with this problem.
As you can see in this short clip the textures far from camera loosing all the details.

It almost look like there is a different texture for different range.
Im curently working on huge 4k ready textures pack, but
it doesnt matter if you use custom hd textures or default. The glitch is very visible anyway.

Appreciate any advice or feedback.
Thanks!

Wii U Gamecube adapter port auto-detection

Hi, has port auto-detection been discussed yet for the Wii U GameCube adapter, meaning that the emulator would automatically detect the controller plugged in and enable it/disable it when necessary? I feel like this would be a nice addition.

Thanks.

a serious problem with dolphin...please help

hey guys...i have a new pc using windows 10 home and i rediscovered the emulation section for me these days so i decided to try emulation on my new pc...at first it was great...everything was nice..the emulator started, the games run smoothly and so on...but after starting the game my pc is only able to play games on dolphin..i mean i can do other things but everything out of the game is running extremely slow..for example its not possible to open some file without a long waiting time..first when i click on something iit looks like nothing is going to happen but after about 8 - 15 seconds..it opens..and even if i close the emulator it wont help..after a single time opening a game nothing else instead of playing on dolphin is possible on my pc without long waiting times...just as if the pc is still stuck in emulation mode or so..or some process is still running in the background...

the problem is fixed when i restart my computer...but i dont want to constantly restart my computer

..now i ask you..can you please help me find a solution to this...or is there no one out there who even heard about it...i was searching google for hours but didnt find anything like this.

About to build. Would like input from experienced builders.

Here is the link to the unit that I am building. Input is appreciated.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Tb79sY

I did not include DVD drive because I got one out of a friends PC.
The CPU and mobo may seem like an off combo but our beloved Admin89 suggested it (about a year ago) since I didn't want to overclock but still keep a high speed.
The CPU is the only thing I'm really splurging on. I'm trying to keep everything else in a budget.
My goal is to be able to play all or most games in full speed in native resolution, maybe 720 if I'm feeling bold.
I also figure if it can run Dolphin just fine then I will have a general purpose PC that will last a lovely long time.
Thank you in advanced.
