How to completely clear/reset settings?

How can I COMPLETELY clear all settings?
I tried this:
- Deleted the dolphin-emu folder
- Force close dolphin
- Cleared the cache
- Deleted the app data
- Uninstalled
- Installed again

And then it says it cannont write any settings.

I have tho create the folder dolphin-emu manually, and then the /Config/ inside to be able to save any settings.

And I can't start games like wii sports resort because the game says it cannot read or write...

But the most strange thing is that my control layout was kept intact after deleting everything and reinstalled.

Any help? thanks!

Wimmfi error 23918 using my own nand?

Hi guys, been a long time since I didnt used wimmfi.

Las time I connected was some months ago with my nand and received the wait 7 days error code.

Since that, never connected again. Yesterday tried and got 23918.

Since im using my nand, what can be happening? I did a bootmii backuo and extracted with dolphin nand import tool.

Random, medium to big, fps drops!

My pc is a medium to high end pc
Intel i7 7700k @ 4.2Ghz
Gtx 1060 6GB
16GB DDR4 RAM
500GB SSD
4TB HDD

i have just downloaded Dolphin on my pc and i was testing settings on Mario Kart Wii and Legend of zelda skyward sword
I mostly tested my settings on SS, i wanted to get a solid 30FPS on 4K
I achieved max FPS on SS, but only in start menu

Since Legend Of Zelda SS is a very demanding game i thought any other game at those settings would run buttery smooth, BUT
On Mario kart, i get huge fps drops, which go back to 60FPS
I am talking about drops down to 5FPS sometimes!
When i am in a race, at 4k mario kart is 60FPS and rarely drops as low as 50FPS, sometimes 45
On the main menu though, i cant even go as high as 50FPS, goes as low as 30FPS
Starts stuttering and its really laggy
i know it is not something to do with my setup because i even went on Native resolution, and still the same random drops in FPS
Do you know why this happens?
i see people on youtube with An i5 @ 2.70Ghz and a gtx 960 running Mario Kart, SSMB, LOZ SS, smg, smg2, you name it at  4k at a Crispy Smooth Max FPS!
How do they do this!?

Also i have a big problem with mario kart, in the menu, it has this white line of dead pixes or something and it really bothers me, but when i enter the game, it goes

Can someone help me fix my FPS drops, and also the annoying White line in mario kart?

So I wanted to TAS MKW again. I used it before, Dolphin 5.0, and I load into the game fine. When I go into a track, no matter its Grand Prix Time Trials VS or Battle I still get this. I'm using Windows 10. What do I do?

I always wanted to play resident evil 4 on the go and thanks to this wonderful piece of work I was able to finish the game twice already on my Xiaomi mi6 with the 5.0 1626 build with 30 fps constantly in more than 70% of the game cenarious with the Vulkan beckend, and I'm also enjoying Zelda Wind Waker and Mario Sunshine on smooth 30 fps with OpenGL beckend. So anyway a big thanks to sonicadvance1 and all the developers who are helping in this project, I've been following you guys work on Android since the very beginning and it's great to see the amazing results so far.

Hybrid XFB forces the frame counter to run at 60fps

Hi,

I recently found out that frame advance has a weird behavior on Super Mario Sunshine in 5.0-6022: using it once runs a frame worth of the game’s logic but doesn’t render anything, using it a second time displays the frame without running the game loop again, then using it again renders nothing, and so on. The frame counter also increases by 2 on every frame, as if Dolphin were increasing the counter at 60fps even though the game only runs at 30fps.

Using the bisect tool, I tracked the issue down to 5.0-5874, the version that introduced Hybrid XFB. Knowing this, I tried to tweak my XFB settings and found that the problem disappears when Immediately Present XFB is checked.

Afaict, everything else runs fine regardless of XFB emulation, only the frame counter is doubled and frame advance alternates between running code and rendering the next frame instead of doing both at once. Is there anything else to do than disable Hybrid XFB?

CTGP-R v1.02 error

Hello, so i've been having this issue and wanted to post it here in hopes someone can help me. It's been pretty hard to follow this stuff since wiimm sometimes doesn't make it very clear to the unexperienced how this stuff works. So I downloaded a CTGP-R ISO (already owned MWKII and CTGP and my wii died on me) and I don't know if i'm supposed to patch something or not. i tried running the ISO through dolphin but i get texture abnormalities and all the cups are just arrows. None of the custom tracks are accessible or playable. I really need my fix...

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Glitched Resolution?

Well, hello guys, i am having a little problem with super mario galaxy 2 on the wii on dolphin, my version is the 5.0.

The problem is that in some parts of the game things like this happen:

This happen in some parts of the game like in the first level, the first boss and on the first planet with the bee powerup, someone have some fix/tips/help to this?

I'm having trouble playing at any res higher then Native x1,anyone got any tips?I'm aware Xenoblade is one of the more demanding titles to emulate.I'm hoping to get it working at at least x2.

after OpenAL audio backend dropped and out of support,
as i taught, only Audio Backend support Surround output as ProLogic Decoder is 'Cubeb'.

but seems ProLogic Decoder Checkbox menu is still possible to activate when audio backend is 'XAudio2'

so i've little confused.. so tested XAudio2 with Prologic Checkbox check on some surround supported titles.
(of cource it's not worked as surround)

when during OpenAL was in Audio Backend selection Menus, those CheckBox was Greyouted and deactivated when audioback end selected in 'XAudio2'
(and only activate able when select OpenAL)

but when OpenAL dropped while in somewhere 5.0 SVN period, seems greybox targeting was disapeard by mistake.

it could be make confused on user side. so i think it should be fix.

Logging on Android

Inconsistent freezes on Dolphin 5.0-6033 make identifying any issue difficult so I hope logging on Android can help me. There is no GUI option to enable logging or change the log configuration. Is enabling the log, changing the log configuration, and writing it to a file something that can be done through an INI? If so, which INI should I be looking in?

Additionally, can anyone get WBFS files to load on Android? I tried two and both ended emulation immediately after starting them. The WBFS files work fine on Windows.

Hey everyone! im new here and i must say freaking kudos to the devs for this its crazy! thank you all for doing this!

i wanted to ask tho.. when im playing it, itll play smooth and nice and such. as im playing itll start to slow down out of no where and i cant make it go back up to speed like how it was originally. example: im playing super smash melee and the first 2 to 3 rounds would be smooth and nice, little stutter here and there but nothing annoying. next thing you know the audio starts to stutter a lot and it just starts to lag as well. its so weird and i have zero idea why and how it happens. my question is how can i maintain the gameplay to be smooth since when i first started it?

Pixelated graphics when Scaled EFB Copy is disabled

Hello,

On the more recent dev builds, when I disable Scaled EFB Copy, some of the game graphics look pixelated, rather than smooth.  Specifically when trying to run the Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Deception & Armageddon games.  Might be other games, but those were the only ones I have to disable it.  This seems to have started when Immediately Present XFB was added.  I don't know if this is a bug, or just something we'll have to deal with going forward, but I thought I'd ask, in case a "fix" could be made

Extracted game ISOs just give empty files?

I've been looking for a solution to my problem for 2 days now and I'm hoping this is a good place to ask about it... I ripped Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Mario Kart Wii with homebrew and cleanrip and all of that. I extract the ISOs and try to open the fils in .BRRES viewer. It didn't work with an .ARC, and I assumed it was because it was a .ARC... Then I tried opening a .BRRES file, and it still gives the error "not a valid .Brres file... Then I realized that all these .brres/.arc/.szs files I'm getting are 0 KB, and I'm starting to believe these files being nothing is the cause of my problems.

I also noticed that there would seem to be 2 ISOs in the SD card, 1 much smaller than the other. (this happened with both games)[Image: Captura.png] I have a good feeling that this is connected to the files being empty...

This is my first time ripping games and posting a thread so sorry if I did/do anything stupid Confused Tongue

Graphical Noise Glitch (?) on Direct3D 11 [Soul Calibur II]

My poor old laptop won't run this emulator properly on anything other than Direct3D. It's usually fine in terms of performance, but in some games like Soul Calibur I get this graphical glitch:

Note Ivy's outfit or Cassandra's legs. It also shows up to a lesser extent on every character's skin.

I'm not really sure what causes it or how to alleviate it. I've tinkered with every setting and the only thing that seems to help is running the game at 4x or higher resolution. However, I can't get good framerates on anything past 2x. Any ideas?

(Dolphin 5.0 on integrated graphics if that's relevant).

Failing to use Mayflash DolphinBar as connector for Wiimotes on Linux

So, recently I found out Dolphin under Linux supports connecting controllers via the Mayflash Dolphinbar.

First of all, if I run Dolphin as root, it detects any controllers I have connected to the bar. However, I can not get this to work without running Dolphin as root.
Internet searches tell me I need to add udev rules like described here (https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=How_to_use_the_Official_GameCube_Controller_Adapter_for_Wii_U_in_Dolphin) and here (https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Bluetooth_Passthrough), just replace the vendorId and productId with the ones for the Dolphin bar. However, this does absolutely nothing.

Yes I've reloaded the rules, I even rebooted in between just to test it out. No matter what rule I try, Dolphin, when not run as root, just doesn't want to see the controllers.

I'm about to pull my hair out for this one, can someone help me out?
