Downloading Dolphin and Controller

Hey hey there friends  Big Grin

I have 2 problems.  Angry  Angry

The first one is I cannot download any version of Dolphin above 4.0.2 but I can download everything below that. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it that didn't work. I tried downloading supposed needed files. That too was a downer. So I am lost as what to do.

The second problem is getting a controller to work. I have your classic wired Xbox 360 controller which works fine when plugged into the regular console. It doesn't matter which version of Dolphin I use whether is 4.0.2. or 3.5. I did the configuration and selected standard controller. I made sure the ports were correct, I made sure the controller was on when I refreshed it. XInput/0/Gamepad should show up but it never does. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. So this is the other problem.

Anyone's help or comment is greatly appreciated.

Whenever i map my keyboard or even use the default ones I still can't use it other than WASD and LRMB.

No Adapter Detected Gamecube Controller on Developer Versions

I've been playing on the stable 5.0 version for a long time and can easily get my Gamecube controller to work with it. I recently wanted to change to the newest release of Dolphin (8496) and everything I do the application will not register my controller. I can't seem to get any older dev versions to recognize it either. I'd greatly appreciate any help people could give me.

Some vulkan testing on my OnePlus 6

I spent a couple hours testing out vulkan on the latest nightly. First off I was surprised it worked at all since on an older version it would just crash dolphin. I don't know if this was fixed by a pr or a driver update since OnePlus had a couple of updates since last I tried. Anyways vulkan works now but in most games alot of the graphics are only partially emulated. For example in Tales of Symphonia all the 2d elements on the menu and field are missing but it looks and runs perfect in a battle. Other games like soul Calibur 2 have 90% missing graphics but you can still hear the audio going. keep in mind I already deleted the old shaders and toggled about every option to see if there was a fix.

Now if you turn on Synchronous (Ubershaders) the graphics are perfect in pretty much every game I tried but the performance tanks to about 5-10fps in most games, sometimes 15-20. Again no option toggling would fix this.

So at first I thought it was a driver issue that was causing the missing graphics but after toggling Synchronous (Ubershaders) I think it might be something dolphin is doing. Any insight into what's going on and is this the case for anyone else? Thank you for your time, and I look forward to testing later versions!

Graphical Issue with Super Paper Mario

So, recently, I decided to try out Super Paper Mario with Dolphin. I changed the settings to the recommended ones from the wiki (Direct3D 11, EFB to RAM, and bounding emulation), and the game runs pretty well. However, there is a strange graphical issue that makes it look like there are dead pixels on the screen whenever I try to play it.

I'm quite a newbie when it comes to figuring these things out, so I tried posting a couple of threads on a couple of different emulation subreddits, but I got no responses. Help would be very much appreciated.

problem on ipega 9076 controller

I have a s9 + snapdragon with the latest version of dolphin android 5.0-8496, however, I can not map my ipega 9076 control
it works fine on the smartphone and other emulators, maps correctly on wii remote1, both in the "none" extension and the "classic" extension, it registers the buttons correctly and saves, but does not work in games. It's like I did not register the mapping! but it's there! I'm terribly disappointed.
I'm testing on the new super mario wii and mario galaxy.
I need help. thx

Bluescreen while playing/after playing

Now, before I explain I want to clear something up, I had this issue on the stable 5.0 version, as well as the version I'm currently using (5.0-8486), so I think it's a hardware problem. However, I've tried for what almost feels like an hour now to update my windows and everything, and no matter what I do, I can't update it. It comes up with error 80073712 ("WindowsUpdate_80073712" "WindowsUpdate_dt000") and I can't fix it. I hope there are some helpful people who can help me troubleshoot this problem because I can't for the life of me.

So this problem occurs when I launch dolphin, I haven't tested it specifically, but I'm sure it happens even if I merely open it. My computer bluescreens shortly after, even while I'm playing, for seemingly no reason, and I don't know what to say. at first, I thought it was my Bluetooth, but that wasn't the problem. I reinstalled the drivers and nothing changed, and even if I didn't play with a wii remote it still bluescreened, so I don't know what to do.

Hello.

I have been trying to emulate Beatles: RB. The only microphone I have is a cheap microphone with an audio jack. And I was wondering if its possible to use it in the game. If I cannot since the Wii only supports USB microphones I do own an audio jack to USB converter so I need to know if its possible to use my microphone in any of those 2 ways or another.

I'm playing Super Paper Mario with a PS4 controller and I got the control settings to my best convenience.  However, I have a few problems with the pointer and configuring the buttons to shake like a Wii remote.  The pointer with Tippi's find and tattle abilities won't go away unless I hold other buttons down and I don't want to keep my hands on a certain button while I'm using my hands are using other buttons.  What settings can I set it to to keep the pointer away until I need it?

So hello there i am trying to play super smash bros brawl and i remember the 6xxx patches to be working properly, ive decided to download the next patch the 8508 and to my bad luck whenever i boot smash now ,dolphin attempts to open the game ,sometimes i get the message "non cpu thread" something and ignore for this session but no matter what the result is the same that the game stays black,dolphin stays at the black screen,memory at task manager stays the same its practicly frozen.
Any help for me?

Nvidia-xrun prevents input via emulated controler (mouse clicking)

I encountered a strange bug when using nvidia-xrun on dolphin.( basically it's separate X server using nvidia dedicated card).
Upon lanuching any game (even Wii menu) pressing A on emulator screen (left click on mouse), will do nothing.
It will work on on window's border though, or clicking outside it.
Happens regardless of backend.

DualShock 4 Shoulder Buttons

So I recently bought a DualShock 4 for my NVIDIA Shield, and it works great in all of my emulators except Dolphin.

Every single button works fine, except it doesn't seem to recognise the shoulder buttons (usually mapped to Z). Is this a known issue, or something that can be fixed? Like I said those shoulder buttons work in literally every other emulator I use.

Hello,

I am running on 5.0-8490 (Galaxy S8+ Snapdragon) and for some reason, no matter what this game runs very slow. From the intro cutscene, to the title screen it only hits around 5 fps. If I set the overclock to 15%, the game runs at fullspeed but it's an absolute nightmare.
This game magically started with some other games on 5.0-6101 but it's like the slowest thing ever, is there any way to fix this?

Dolphin display mount point as hidden folder

I'm using Arch Linux with KDE Desktop. External drives are automatically mounted with udisks. Recently I found that one of my external USB drives(Sony HD-E2) displayed hidden in Dolphin, all files inside are not hidden. In other file managers and terminal drive displayed fine. Other external drives displayed non-hidden.
Any ideas? Please, help.

Unknown pointer error when starting any ISO

I get an unknown pointer error when starting any ISO. I am using the most recent stable version on MacOS High Sierra. Dolphin was able to start ISOs with no issue until I tried building a separate branch from source. That did not work, so I deleted everything and reinstalled the latest stable version. Now, even the latest stable version fails.

I've used the 30 FPS code to play Mario Kart Wii at full speed on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge but it's not enough to play at full speed. Does anyone know a 20-15 FPS code that would work? Huh
