Dolphin bar wiimote not recognized in latest update

Hello all,

I used the automatic update feature and after getting 10553, my wiimote won't work in Dolphin anymore. Cemu with the same setup works just fine, though. Any ideas?

Unable to connect Wiimote

Apparently I'm not allowed to post replies on the original thread, so let's try here. So following the passthrough guide I found, I downloaded Zadig and installed the libusbk driver, now the wiimote appears to connect to Dolphin, but no commands are being accepted from it......

Difference between a texture pack and resource pack?

I have the brand newest version of Dolphin - so I can specifically try this feature - but I'm having a fair bit of confusion as to the best way to go about it.

I download the texture packs (Xenoblade Chronicles, Xelda 64 HD, Super Mario Galaxy 1, etc.) and all of their installation tells me to put the textures in C:\users\Documents\Dolphin\Load\Textures or whatever. However, in this version of Dolphin, I can click 'Resource Pack Manager' and that's a completely different directory (and you put .zip files there only?).

Can someone please help clarify the best way for me to install these texture packs? When I saw I could scale up OoT and Majora's Mask, I knew I had to delve into this side of things, but so far, I'm stumped.

Thank you in advance.

Keyboard inputs not working.

Hey guys so I just recently downloaded the dolphin emulator hearing that motion+ has finally been integrated, and wanted to try the game out. I didn't bother configuring the keyboard/mouse buttons for the emulated wii remote, and tried playing the game, but I keep getting stuck on the screen where it says "Press A". After pressing every key on the keyboard and on my mouse, I realized it was because dolphin was either not receiving any inputs, or because the inputs themselves were not working. I'm not sure whats wrong since I left everything on default, and only changed graphic settings, so if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Cirka Controller is seen by windows but not by Dolphin

Hi everybody,

I'm at a loss. I've searched my ass off for three days to find an answer to my problem but so far I have not found it. I hope someone here can advise. I've installed Dolphin and bought a Cirka Gamecube controller to play childhood games. The controller is seen by windows but not in the devices list in Dolphin. I have an slow and old laptop on wich I tried to install the same as on my fast pc, on wich the controller is not showing up. The strange thing is that on the old laptop it all works fine. Both use Windows 10. I don't know what the problem on my rig can be. I tried to get some results with Zadig but it did not help.

I tried copying the dolphin install from the old laptop to the new rig and then the device is shown but with the text disconnected displayed. I really don't know what to do anymore. See the screenshot below.

I truly hope you can help me, because it would be awesome if I get it to work with your help!!

Textures not loading / everything looks terrible

Hi all,

I know I'm a new forum user here, but I've been a long time Dolphin user. I just found out about texture packs (where have I been, right?) and now I'm ready to fall in love with my old favorite games, just looking better! Unfortunately, I seem to have messed something up royally.

Earlier today, as I was opening stuff, it seemed like all of my texture packs were working. Well, the limited I tried (Paper Mario: TTYD, Xenoblade Chronicles, etc.). I installed a Twilight Princess one and it looks TERRIBLE - super pixely, like, way more pixely than it would look with a texture pack. I asked for some help on the TP texture pack thread and they said something with Dolphin was wrong - the entire image looks bad.

Lo and behold, I checked some other games (also ones with texture packs) and they all look similarly TOO pixelated: SM64, LoZ: WW, etc. I'm really not sure what I messed up. Even if I turn off texture packs, this issue persists. I'm a noob when it comes to the settings side of Dolphin, so I'm at a loss.

Please help me out, Dolphin Support Forum! You're my only hope.

Issue about two NGC games

Hi Support,

I want to report the performance issue about two NGC games - StarFox Adv and Naruto: Gekitō Ninja Taisen! 4

They are both very slow on my console. The average frame is 15 to 25. And the audio is stuttering also.

My console is Nvidia Shield TV with Tegar X1.

How can I have a better performance on these two games? Thanks.

Using a real Wii as a disc drive to play Wii software in Dolphin?

Is it possible to use real Wii Optical Discs inside a real Wii with Dolphin instead of a Wii Optical Disc image? If so, how can that be done? If not, or even if the process could be made easier for the end-user to do, I hope such a feature will eventually be implemented into Dolphin.

Raspberry Pi 4?

Hello all you may have seen today that the Raspberry Pi 4 was announced today and early information and reviews are looking incredibly promising from a performance standpoint. The Founder of the Raspberry Pi foundation is claiming 3x the CPU performance over the old Pi3B+ and it can potentially be overclocked to 1.75ghz. Specs are as follows

 • A 1.5GHz quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A72 CPU (~3× performance)
 • 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM
 • Full-throughput Gigabit Ethernet
 • Dual-band 802.11ac wireless networking
 • Bluetooth 5.0
 • Two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports
 • Dual monitor support, at resolutions up to 4K
 • VideoCore VI graphics, supporting OpenGL ES 3.x
 • 4Kp60 hardware decode of HEVC video
Considering the Shield is able to do Dolphin with a weaker CPU I was curious how feasible dolphin running on this bad boy is? My main concern is the GPU performance as I honestly have no metric for it compared to anything else but it's obviously a major upgrade as the old GPU could only do 1080 60 and this can do dual 4k monitors. Do any developers have any decent educated guesses here?

So I am having some problem with my dolphin adapter.
When I load up the emulator, I check the controller settings and it says that it is connected. But as soon as I load up any game, I check it again and it says it is not detected. I have already updated to the latest version of dolphin, and I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I'm trying to upload a video of it to show you guys.

Problem with Fire Emblem Path of Radiance

$

I am not a very experienced emulator user and need help with a problem.

I have been playing FE Path of Radiance using dolphin for a little while just using the keyboard on my computer and it was working great (on 5.0). I ordered a wii-u gamecube usb adapter so that I could play the game how it was supposed to be played. Finally got it but after I set it up and attempted to play the game, the audio and video became slowed and choppy making the game unplayable. I tried to find solutions to the problem but have had no luck. Found a post of someone having a similar problem years ago and it was fixed by installing and running the game on an older version of Dolphin. I tried the same version and there was no difference in the problem. When I installed the adapter the only difference I had to the tutorial was that when plugging in both usb connections there wasn't an automatic or noticeable download of the adapter's driver. I (probably shouldn't have) continued on with the tutorial using Zadig and clicked the "replace driver" button. My confusion is that when I ran the game the controller totally worked when interacting with the game though Dolphin but the game then had the audio and video problem. I am assuming that if there wasn't a driver automatically installed then the adapter would not have been funtional.

Please help me figure out how to get back to playing this amazing game.

Thanks

MAC BOOK AIR, HELP

Hi, I own a Mac Book Air 2018
(Intel UHD Graphics 617 1536 MB
1.6 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3) (Yes, I'm aware this is not an ideal machine for Dolphin, but bear with me)

I don't expect nor want to play Wii games with it, but I did think it would run Gamecube games just fine. And while some do (Fifa 06, most of the Mario ones, even NFS: Carbon runs pretty good) some are just unplayable (HP and the Chamber of Secrets, FIFA Street, Agent Under Fire), is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a way to play these games even if I have to downgrade their settings (If so, please tell me how)?

Or is there no hope for me.

Thank you.

Dolphin Window does not hide in fullscreen mode

Hello guys, can someone help me out here? I like to play in fullscreen mode on my tv, but after a routine update, when i click to run a game, the Dolphin window pops up. I can't even use the controller because somehow the the windows thinks the main tab is the dolphin and not the game, as if i just tap alt+tab. I can't find a solution for this anywhere. Thank you a lot if you know how to solve this. Sorry about the english, not my native language.

PKMNXD and characters casting light

Hello! Sorry for disturbing you guys.
I'm playing Pokémon Gale of Darkness, and the characters (main and NPCs) are casting light instead Shadow as you can see.
Is there any way to change this? I'm using OPENGL, because Streamlabs only can hook the emulator with the backend.

Thank you for reading.

Cant seem to gedt XC1 to work 60 FPS + HD pack. Is it my pc ?

As stated in my subject,

I cannot seem to get a propper 60 FPS out of XC1 with the 60 FPS patch and HD pack. ( i also run a reduced bloom patch, that improved my FPS alot in most area's)
I works when just strolling around near a wall and without to much moving objects, when i open a menu it drops slight to about 55 ~FPS, battle it goes to about 36~FPS
and in later parts of the game (mechonis) it just stalls everything at about 56 ~FPS (when in a wider area or battle 30-40 ~FPS)

I think my pc should be decent enough to be able to run it, but i cannot seem to get it to work.
Are my specs just to outdated? or is it my dolphin settings ?

PC:

Windows 10 64 bits
I7 4790 3,6 (OC to 4.0)
16 GB RAM (OC DDR3 2.0)
Gforce GTX 1070 8GB
MSI Z97 gaming 5

My dolphin settings can be found on these 2 img.

Some updates:
BTW: in the early area's i usually have no problems, guar plains is just peachy. no drops and not when in battle with 2 and sometimes even with 3 party members. same for most of the Bionis lands.

More edits: basiclly the game is perfect in 60 FPS +HD up until the fallen arm. Thats where i start to get drops.. anyone familiar with this ?another wierd addition.. The game runs better with V-SYNC on, drops only go down to 54 FPS on fallen arm while in battle.

Tryed to up settings with anti-alaysing, no improvement also no decrese. Kicked off my HD textures, also no improvements. Problem seems to reside in the 60 FPS patch and the rendering quality's.. i think. Why else would i get an slight improvement with the V-sync on?

Turning native resolution down does not fix anything. But i put in a draw distance gecko, if i turn the setting al the way down. I fixes most of the lags. So the problem seems to be in that area. Is there anyway to buff your system setting to get that to run propperly ?

Considering Hardware Upgrade

Hello again,

I currently am using the following:

CPU: E3-1280 v3 (Modified with a 4.0Ghz all-core turbo boost - AVX instructions disabled to prevent downclocking to its base clock)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 1030
RAM: 12GB

I am considering upgrading to the i7-8700 which runs at 4.3Ghz-4.6Ghz turbo depending on how many cores are in use. Will there be a noticeable performance difference between the CPU that I have now (which is pretty much equivalent to a G3258 overclocked to 4Ghz) and the i7-8700 non-K?

Also another side question, when looking for a new CPU, is there a certain Dolphin benchmark score or Passmark single-threaded score to look for to run pretty much everything full speed?
