I am trying to play Super Paper Mario but every time I get to the castle cut scene, it goes black and makes an annoying noise. I saw someone else talking about this and they said they fixed it, but didn't explain how.

Can't get controllers to work even after tutorials

I have watched tutorials and read through the guide on getting my adapter and controllers to work, and I still can't get them to work.

My adapter is from YYCTEAM off Amazon and it appears simply as "Gamecube Adapter" on my device list.  I am using Cipon Gamecube controllers. I am using Dolphin 5.0. I am on a new Asus Windows laptop.

I have tried using Standard Controller and Gamecube Adapter for Wii, and I get Adapter not detected. The computer just doesnt see any imput from the controllers.

Advice?

Mouse locked to incorrect resolution

Hi there, I'm sorry if I can not give you all the info mation you need. But this is the gist of his story.


I belive he had said he has changed his monitor since he has installed dolphin. He believes he is on 4.2 maybe.
He is currently using a wide screen monitor something by 1440. Sorry.
When he tries to use the mouse within dolphin his mouse is locked to a certian size.

Is there somewhere with dolphin where you constrain mouse movement?
Or scale it?

Metroid Prime 2 visor won't scan anything, and the fixes Ive found don't work for me.

I'm using stable Dolphin 5...running Gamecube iso of Prime 2, it works perfectly and smoothly...but I can't progress in the game because the scan visor won't scan anything.

This is a known problem, but people usually can fix it. I can't seem to fix it though.

I've looked up solutions like; turning off "Store EFB copies to Texture Only", that didn't work, turn of "Anti-Aliasing" that didn't work, use "Ishiiruka-Dolphin" that didn't work...Using OpenGL doesn't help, using Vulkan doesn't help...etc...

Does anyone have any idea of what else I might need to do to fix it? Thanks

(also, the button on the controller does work, and works for other aspects of the game, it just won't scan things like it's supposed to.)

Sonic & Secret Rings Controller Issue

I'm unable to use mini turbo in Sonic & The Secret Rings.
I know that swinging/tilting in 4 directions allows to walk, shaking x/y/z allows to use jump dash.
Swing forward and backward does nothing.

how do you get that little thing with the specs on your main pc, on each reply, cuz' i've seen some people have this little divider with their pc specs, while replying, so how do you get that?

My Cursor is not working

Hello, I have problems with my Dolphin. your cursors that appears in the game or in the wii menu itself, cannot reach or align with my pc cursor, please can someone help me? I looked for solutions and nothing and even calibrating the cursor does not work.

High screen hack (576p) and 50hz for mobile performance.

Since pal has a 576i, but Dolphin doesn't need interlacing and it supports 16:9, it could take advantage of it to reach a max of 1024x576 native resolution.
4x upscaling would fit the LG ultrafine 4k (4096x2304) and games decide to take it in advantage or disadvantage.

Now if you have an Samsung Exynos phone, some games don't run very well.
Luckily pal also supports 50hz, so if Dolphin adds that down to the 640x480 resolution, it can skip drawing 1 out of 6 frames to improve performance.

1. Is NAND compulsory for Dolphin?

2. What if I run 1 NAND on both my Wii and Dolphin together and at the same time using Internet/Wii Shop Channel? Would something bad happen, I mean I’m a bit sceptical of dumping my NAND in Wii.

3. Is save game manager gx safe to transfer wii saves to dolphin?

4. How to extract save files from dolphin and then to use it on wii ?

Should I Buy a Wii Remote or a Wii Remote Plus?

After buying a third-party remote that doesn't connect to my PC I want to buy a controller that is guaranteed to work, I would prefer the Wii Remote Plus controller however I hear that it's pretty hit or miss and may require additional setup to get working. Do the plus controllers work fine or are I better off getting the original controller and just using the Wii Motion Plus add-on when needed? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Problem with save/load state hotkeys, sometimes working sometimes not.

Hi. I'm using Dolphin 5.0-14095 on Windows 10 64 bit. I have 16GB DDR4 3200MHz, i7-9700k, RTX 2070 Super. I want my save/load state hotkeys set up such that Shift+F1-Shift+F8 save, and F1-F8 load. So, I have my hotkeys set up like this:

When I start playing and using these hotkeys, most of the time they work just fine and I can save/load how I want. However, often times whenever I press one of my save or load hotkeys, I have a problem. Sometimes, I press one of the hotkeys and the emulator seems to simply not respond at all, even though I clearly pressed the hotkey and there is no issue with my keyboard. Other times, I press one of the hotkeys and the emulator appears to not respond at all, but then about 15 seconds later it suddenly responds to the hotkey - seemingly some form of huge delay in recognising the hotkey being pressed.

I also noticed that whenever this "delay" takes place, the save state always loads even if I pressed one of the save hotkeys. For example, sometimes I will press Shift+F1 to save the first state, then there is a ~15 second delay until anything happens, and then it actually loads the first state rather than saving it.

If anyone could give any tips in solving this then it would be much appreciated. Thank you for any help.

Real Wiimote unable to connect w/ Mac OSX Dolphin 5.0... help?

The title basically tells all. I am currently running Mac OSX Catalina, ver 10.15.6, and even after looking through youtube tutorials, trying to connect my Real wiimote wont seem to work. When I try syncing it to the OS itself via the Bluetooth Preferences, it says it's able to connect, though after loading up a game, it acts as if there's no controller to begin with. The fact that Refresh and Continuous scanning options freeze dolphin for me (prolly cuz im on mac), meaning I can't seem to connect my wiimote via dolphin, doesn't help Sad

My Real Wiimote in question is not a Motionplus built-in model (RVL-CNT-01-TR), just the standard edition (RVL-CNT-01).

Update of Dolphin (5.0-14095) instantly crashes when opening controller config

So recently I opened Dolphin and it popped up a window saying there was an update and that I should update the emulator. I did (I should note it said their was a critical error when finishing the first time and it had to redo) and when trying to open the controller configuration, it would crash instantly. I tried reopening a few times and even restarted my pc and it continued to crash. I should also note that after the update, only GameCube games seemed to work, and all Wii games I tried would not boot up (these are games that also previously worked just fine).

Any help as to what may be causing this? Is there some bug I'm not aware of?
